Dating on a Dime: Try A Gourmet Item for Dinner

Creating quality time in a marriage or with a significant other is imperative to the strength of a relationship.  But how to you stay on budget with everything else going on in your lives?  Living on Love and Cents & Madame Deals have put together a great article for this weeks Dating on a Dime series

This week Amee has a great idea she calls “Whole Paycheck.”

We affectionately refer to Whole Foods as Whole Paycheck. I have to say they have the best gourmet food around. I used to go there at lunch time and snack. I know, gasp, but they have the most amazing samples. I also had a son with allergies so they are the place to shop when you have a special diet. You can coupon shop there and save money. I found the best way to save money is to buy one or two special items to jazz up your meals.

When I am doing date night at home. I run in and grab something fancy to make my meal special. I say pretend we are somewhere fancy. I bought their seafood gazpacho and made a huge salad with fresh bread and a gourmet dessert. I think if you grab something gourmet and have dinner at home you can save a lot of money. The meal we had was under $20 and the company was priceless.
