Enter into the Star Code section? Came up with an error and did not work 🙁
Ardna says
I got the coupon at the checkout, but the last letter was an M. So I know no one else has entered it. It too, did not work!
What’s up with Starbucks?
BInks says
Mine also ended in a M. I think M or H or whatever other last letter made the code different just depended on which retail chain you received the Catalina coupon from. Once someone else entered “your” code it wouldn’t work again. Some botched promo.

Got 2 coupons with groceries and although they match, neither one worked. Got an error reply on both.
Starbucks is messing up on this one.
Melissa says
Apparently the Starbucks website is having some issues. It’s working for some and not others. I would keep trying!
Michelle says
Thanks it worked just fine for me!

I called Starbucks about receiving a code at the groceries as well. They informed me the codes were unauthorized and they had canceled them. But as a courtesy they added 5 stars to my account.

This was a Catalina coupon machine promo that went awry. Catalina coupons are the ones that spit out of the coupon dispensers at check-out. The Starbucks codes were the same for anyone who shopped at the same store or chain in a given area. The way Starbucks’ code system works is once a code is keyed in it can’t be re-used so whoever the first person was to enter a certain code got the 5 bonus stars and the those who tried afterward did not. It sounds like it was Catalina who messed up not Starbucks. I don’t think the codes were necessarily unauthorized because the phone reps aren’t aware of all the promos going on via the marketing department, but it wasn’t well thought out beforehand.
