Just a post to give credit to the manager (I'm terrible w/names. Tall African American guy, mid 30-40s, I would say) today at the WAGS @Military Hwy/Indian River Rd.
I usually don't do WAGS. Too complicated. But since I successfully (after speaking w/the manager) used a RR @ Little Creek commissary yesterday, thought I'd give it another try. Had to pick up Rx anyway.
Long story short, neither of my RRs printed. At all. The manager was polite and helpful. He couldn't get them to print, couldn't figure out why. So he kindly and pleasantly (that was the most amazing part for WAGS) refunded the amount to me! I have NEVER had that happen. I have never even had a WAGS manager care that they didn't print. Even fake caring.
I was pleased w/his attitude and his level of customer service, even if it was frustrating to have to stand there while he tried to work it out. And, maybe best of all, the Lord made sure there was no line behind me!
So thank you, manager at WAGS. You made my afternoon.

I'm so glad you had a good experience! I love WAGS but it does take some planning to maximize your savings. I like hearing about management that is helpful and polite. Too often you're told just that you didn't purchase the correct item.
I like my Hanbury store since they make is so easy to shop there. I've had bad experiences at the Centerville/Kempsville location. All you WAGS shoppers in that area should head to the Military location to get good service!
That was a blessing that nobody was behind you as they tried to sort it all out 🙂
Thanks for letting us know!

Oh, you were able to use a RR at the Little Creek commissary?
Ginger says
Dana, I was able to use it. As you probably already know it was posted on their FB page a while back. So I called while in the store shopping and the customer service lady said no. I asked to speak to the manager. He said yes. Got to the register. Customer service lady said no. Manager said he must've been mistaken. I asked to see the email they received from DECA. He kindly agreed. And, sure enough, there was even a picture of the RR on the email, stating they could take them! He was very nice and apologized for their error. He refunded me the $5 ( I didn't hold the line up waiting for their response).
I am drafting a letter to DECA HQ. It shouldn't have been that difficult for them to follow policy. I do have to say, everyone except the lady at the customer service counter was very willing to help me resolve the issue.
Good luck if you attempt the same.

I appreciate you taking the time to let me know! I'm working on a post to inform other readers of the great news. I've contacted MyMilitaryMommy and will include her finds in the post. If you happen to receive a repsponse back from DECA that readers could take with them please consider emailing me a copy of that part of the response. If you'd rather not, I understand.
Thanks again! I rarely have the opportunity to shop at the commissary so all the help is appreciated!
