Walgreen’s and Target-Quick Trips 03/09/10

The items on the left are from Target.  This would have been a FREE trip but “Monkeyboy” needed poster board for school.  I needed a “filler” anyways because they didn’t adjust down the coupons.
2 Crest Kids $1.49 each (price cut):
Use 2 $0.50/1 Oral-B or Crest Kids Toothpaste from 02/07 RP insert
PLUS
Use 2 $1/1 Target printable HERE
Final: $0.02 overage
2 Reach Floss $0.97 each:
Use 2 $1/1 Reach Floss from 10/18 RP insert
Final: $0.06 overage
Walgreen’s
The items on the right are from Walgreen’s.  See the coupons used HERE.
I bought 4 “fillers” of $0.29 each candy for Easter to cover the overage but Opps, I was $0.10 off.
My total OOP was $1.42 which I’m happy with anyways.
Watch which Reach toothbrushes you purchase!  If your plan is, like me, to use 2 $1/1 and 1 BOGO plus the in-ad coupon you need to be careful of the toothbrushes you buy.  Mixed together are BOGO packs and single packs.
The BOGO coupon states that it’s on any SINGLE toothbrush.  I bought 1 BOGO pack and 2 singles.  I was only able to use 1 $1/1 plus the BOGO and in-ad coupons because the cashier rang up my in-ad coupon first even though it was on the bottom of the stack.  Even with my fillers my total before tax was only $0.90 so she couldn’t accept the other $1/1 coupon. The toothbrushes and cereal were still FREE though.

Thanks for the heads up, I got 2 boxes of cereal, did everything else the same & got 6 candy eggs as fillers, and spent $.81. It's amazing how I saved more money by getting more candy.

    Heather:
I'm glad my issues helped you!
I know, you can't complain when you get almost $2 worth of candy as fillers and only spend $0.80!
