Awesome! Great job – I think this more than makes up for last week when you were bummed at your totals. I'll be going back tonight, Indian River HT said they're getting the truck in today so hopefully some things they were out of will be in stock tonight. Curses for working 9-5!

Don't feel too bad-even at 11am a lot of items were gone! I know it's frustrating though. I was on my hands and knees digging for rice. "LuLu" thought that was hilarious 🙂

Hanbury said they were getting a delivery tonight also, but I'm not sure if they'll actually restock those items. I've only seen it once at the HT off Princess Anne. Not sure of the name of the shopping center, it's fairly new.

Yes, I feel better now 🙂

Courthouse pulled all of my dnd coupons including the flour and wouldn't double or triple them. Boo. I know they have the right, but it still makes me sad. When I asked about it, they said they were suppossed to be doing it and no more doubling on dnd coupons.

    What!

I'm so sorry that happened to you!

I've never had that done before. The only problem I've ever had (once) was the coupon didn't automatically double (which it usually will if it's coded with a 5) then they wouldn't manually multiply the coupon that said DND.

Did you return the items? I would.

If possible I'd avoid going back to that store.

Anyone else have issues like this?

My 2 trips are posted on my website listed below. I too had them not double a DND coupon (at the one on Va. Beach BLVD) They actually took the time to go get a manager who had to scan the coupon and then void out the triples..Argh… The shopping center off of Princess Anne is Brenneman Farm Marketplace. That's the one I usually go to. They tend to be much nicer there!

I need the flour and the other was the mentos gum for my kids who were standing there, frothing at the mouth for "free gum". I am going to try to oceanfront one tomorrow to see what happens. When I asked about it, they said "the girls aren't suppossed to be doing it anymore" with the DND coupons. Her nametag didn't same management, but I wonder if she was. Who knows. Momondealz is right though, they have to call over a manager to scan her code and then manually enter the amount so that it doesn't AUTOMATICALLY TRIPLE. Which shows it is just a store policy. I may email if I get too much of a bee in my bonnet about it.

Love the canvas-y look on the background!!

    Julie:

    Glad you like it!

It just amazes me. All that work to adjust down a coupon. I hope you have better luck at the Oceanfront! I hope this is just a temporary thing. I heard a lot about this happening at Farm Fresh awhile back, not so much anymore.

I know about the kids and gum. There would have been an all out tantrum if I'd put back something they were getting!

Happened at the oceanfront too. I went and intentionally got the green chilis with a dnd/t coupon. Went to a cashier who I knew wasn't management and they had to pull it aside and manually set it lower. She told me that "it won't double it because it says dnd." Not buying it for a second, but I'll play along. I may wait until triples are over (so no one else suffers at the other stores) and email to see what the policy is.

Got some free cereal samples at the pharmacy counter for cereal that had coupons inside!! Had a great conversation with the pharmacy worker about coupons and she said that a few days ago the greenbriar ht had lots of tom's (I think) toothpaste samples they were giving away. She wasn't sure if they still had them but if you are already there it is worth checking out.

Yeah, and I am not about to put back something that my kids are expecting and have waited/behaved for the entire time I was shopping. I took my overpriced gum and handed it to the happy kids.

I added a new post as a warning that this is occurring. I have also found and included HT's coupon policy.

Thanks for the tip on the samples!

It is in HT coupon policy to redeem the coupon according to the coupon wording. My Harris Teeter have not doubled or tripled DND coupons for more than a year.

On a happier note, great trips! I spent $5.54 in two trips and saved over $70!

Thank you for commenting, we have been very fortunate in this area to not have this policy enforced until recently.

    Great savings on your trips!
