I’ve never used restaurant.com, but I just did some research and it appears to be a great deal. I checked the participating restaurants in my area by typing in my zip code and saw 192 restaurants within a 30 mile radius. I’m always willing to try a new restaurant for super cheap! I even recognized several of the names and have eaten at some of the locations.

It appears that conditions vary depending on what restaurant you choose. A common stipulation was a total bill of $35 before you could use your $25 gift card. If that’s the case you’ll spend $12 OOP plus tip for a dinner out! That’s spending $10 OOP to use the card and $2 for the original purchase of the card. I didn’t figure the FREE $50 gift card in this example. My husband and I have been trying to figure out how to add more date nights in the budget. I think I just found the answer!

I purchased the Dinner of the Month Club. It’s a 12 month package that comes with 12 $25 gift certificates and one FREE $50 gift certificate! The total for this package would be $120, but after the promo code CHOW, my total was just $24! I just snagged $350 worth of dining certificates for only $24! I also choose the FREE shipping option (3-7 business days).
