Reader Tracy’s Experience:

Now that I have had this thing for a little while, I feel I can give a decent testimonial :)  I probably don’t understand all aspects of the program completely yet, but I figure that will come in time.  The scanner is pretty easy to operate, and the kids like it :)  We have gotten used to the fact now that before we put our groceries away, somebody needs to grab the scanner.  I just follow my receipt to scan my items and follow the prompts along the way to answer questions like “did you use a coupon”  and  “who went shopping with you”, etc.  I will be honest and say that I do not scan every single purchase I make like they request, but from what I can tell, you don’t get rewarded any more for more purchases.  As long as you submit a purchase once a week, you get a set amount of points.  As long as your scanner is on the base, it automatically submits for you.  The points add up to some prizes, but it takes a lot of points to get anything, and I personally don’t think there are a lot of prizes or variety of prizes to choose from.  I am more interested in the perks like getting entered in drawings to get your groceries paid for, etc….usually by answering short surveys.  I haven’t been rewarded yet, so I can’t say whether I think it is “worth it” yet, but so far it is not too much to handle on a weekly basis.  I’ll post an update if anything changes!

Let me know if you get accepted.
