chantal ~ I found mine on the cake mix/frosting aisle with the candles and cake decorating items and I believe it is a decorative icing. Hope this helps?

    Dana ~

I know you have other northeastern NC readers (I’m from Elizabeth City), so I wanted to pass along this info. (Maybe you already have and I just couldn’t find it anywhere!) I have enjoyed shopping at the Hanbury Road HT location since they opened. However, during the previous special (triples), my husband and I were on our way to Duke, so we stopped at the HT in Rocky Mount. (Yes, he IS the man.) It was older, a bit on the small side and although the employees were not very “coupon friendly”, I didn’t mind so much because I was able to get everything at the top of my wish list with a 1030ish arrival. Even the free items were plentiful.

Then I got home and read the posts about how crazy things were at Hanbury Road that day. So, I decided this time, I would try the Kitty Hawk location. It’s about the same travel time for me. I was able to get there about 730 and the parking lot was nearly empty. “YAY,” I thought, “I made a good choice!”

Well…the “destination locations”, specifically the beach locations, of HT run the same specials all.season.long, no weekly specials other than the eVIC specials. I was able to get the regular priced deals, but had to do my own matchups on the fly in the store. Some of the specials (for this week at all the other locations) were the same, but most were not. Lesson learned…sometimes there is just no way to avoid the craziness! 🙂

Interesting. It makes since that those stores would actually keep things priced higher because of everyone from out-of-town. Stinks for all the locals wanting to get a deal, though.

Thank you for letting me know. I’m sure that question will come up and now I will actually have an answer 🙂

So glad you were able to make your trip work!

The dairy promo was buy 4 dannon multipacks and get a free gallon on milk. I bought 2 dan-o-nino and 2 danimals which triggered $4 to come off for my milk that was priced at $4.04. Luckily, I had 4 coupons for the yogurt that made them free too!

      Great deal!

Harris Teeter at Hanbury is under new management and they are cracking down on the DND coupons. I have heard from several shoppers that their cashier forced the DND for face value only. Though it has been a corporate policy for awhile they were not enforcing it, but new management is doing their best to inform all cashiers to closely scrutinize every coupon. I will say this did not happen to me this past week, so as always it will be hit and miss depending on cashier.

I will be trying harder to mention DND coupons in the matchups. Hanbury was always so coupon friendly, so I’m a bit worried. It’s also more time consuming to look through all the coupons then manually have them not double.

      I didn’t have a problem this time, but I don’t doubt it isn’t coming.
