Let me preface my comment by saying, I am so VERY THANKFUL that the Lord allows me the opportunity to save on our groceries each w/week w/sales, Qs and great sites like this one. It is an absolute blessing to be able to have for our family and to be able to share w/others.

My frustration is Farm Fresh. It seems my receipt is never right. One week it was all me, I forgot to give a Q at the register. Every other week however, there is either a pricing error or a Q error. I feel like I live at their customer service counter. I am sure they hate to see my coming. Today a price rang wrong, a Q that should have doubled didn't, and no credit for my reuseable bags. I didn't have the will to go to the desk and ask for it all to be fixed.

I know this is complaining, not the spirit it is meant in. I would love some suggestions for how to address these things w/the most grace possible. I know most people will say a dollar or two is no big deal but every week it adds up. And I also know I could just stop shopping there. I will do that rather than lose my Christian testimony but I'd rather keep both!

Thanks in advance fellow savers for your input. Happy shopping!

I understand your frustration! It seems more weeks than not I have a price or coupon error on my receipt. Sometimes I'm in a hurry and don't notice the error until I get home.
They know me all too well at customer service. Fortunately, the service desk where I shop is always helpful and pleasant. I try to always go to that particular store for that reason (Mt Pleasant).

I know it’s a hassle to go make the corrections and I used to hate going up there for $1 but yes, it does add up. I end up with a lot of free items even though I say for them to just give me what the price was supposed to be. I’ve even had managers and other employees apologize to me and say they don’t like Wednesday’s because not all the prices are correct in their system yet.

Make sure you purchased the right items. I’ve even asked to swap if I grabbed the wrong product.

Try to watch the register to make sure the coupons multiply as scanned. I know that’s not always possible-I shop with kids too.

Keep a copy of the ad-I’ve noticed a price error a week later and taken my ad up

Stay calm (people respond a lot better if you are nice even though you're fuming inside)

Don’t sweat the little things-I only make a point of the bag discount if I’m already heading to customer service for an issue, my time is money too.

Remember that you aren’t the only one, so don’t be afraid to speak up if there’s a mistake

Know you have a right to good customer service and the right to pay the advertised price/receive the coupon discount.

Sorry I can’t provide you with anything to fix the problem.

This is a good issue to write to Corporate about.

Thanks so much. I appreciate that you took the time to read my very long post and respond w/empathy and helpful reminders.

I must say that the customer service reps at the FF where I shop (Kemps River) are always pleasant and helpful. The cashiers, well, it depends. I just hate going every week. I feel like such an imposition. Guess I'll just have to get over that!

    Thanks again. Enjoy your postings.

Hi Ginger, Come further down the road and shop at Orchard Sq! They are great there and they double all the coupons that say DND. Bobbie is the day time manager there and me and my neighbor love her! I have a 5th grader and she is in school when I shop but sometimes we take my neighbors 2 yr old and 8 month old and we shop together and really have a lot of fun! Bobbie knows us well! I never seem to have a problem. The only problems I ever have are the catalina machines! Then they make it right one way or another! Do you have a friend you can shop with? Also it is helpful for me to know in my head what my total should be when I check out. I am usually with in a $1

Harris Teeter is the store that plucks my nerves theses days……different policies at every location………….

Thanks,Karen. I had to laugh. I LOVE my HT! I have never had a register mishap and the staff is SUPER. It's the one in Indian Lakes Crossing on Ferrell Pwky. Maybe we'll switch up! I appreciate the encouragement.
