My Walmart, Target & Harris Teeter Trips 11/07

by Dana Zeliff on November 7, 20112011-11-07
in Harris Teeter Weekly Ad, My Shopping Trip, Target, Walmart

I am super excited about my Walmart trip.  Most of you know that I rarely set foot in Walmart, but I wanted my FREE J&J Travel Kits and I still had my Schick Disposable coupons from awhile ago.  I also FINALLY found a Nerf case for the 3DS and was able to turn my overage into an awesome deal on the Nerf case.

2 J&J Travel kits = FREE + $0.06 overage total
6 Schick Disposable razors = FREE  + $6.18 overage total
1 3DS Nerf Case = $14.97
– $5 Gift Card

Total Paid $5.16!!!
Total Saved $20 (not including the gift card)

I also went in Target to try unsuccessfully to price match the $1 Toy Story 3 Operation game with the Toys R Us ad.  I did get a ton of great 90% off Halloween clearance items.  This is my favorite time of year to get items for next Halloween.  I have a costume ($2.50) and t-shirt for LuLu ($0.59) and ring pops for Monkey’s school ($2.09).  Everything else was $0.70 – $0.20 each!

Total Paid $9.35
Total Saved $67.10 without coupons!

I went back to Harris Teeter for Super Doubles on Saturday.  I wanted the e-VIC Folgers coffee and a few other freebies.  Most of what I wanted was back in stock and they even had boxes of free items in the aisles!  It was a rather expensive trip but not too bad considering what I purchased.

Doritos $2.14
Arnold Bread $2.14
Organic Milk $4.97
2 Creamers $3.74
1 Ring Pop $0.79 (I accidentally gave LuLu Monkey’s from Halloween)
2 Folgers $11.54
2 Nathan’s Hot Dogs $7.38 (our favorite hotdogs and coupon was about to expire)
2 Smuckers Jelly $2
2 ICBINB Tubs $1.18
2 Smart Balance Milk FREE
2 Glen Muir tomato paste FREE
3 Wolfgang Puck Pasta Sauce FREE
3 Jell-O FREE

Total Paid $36.98
Total Saved $55.02

How did you do on your shopping trips?

Problems Using the $2 Tide Coupon on the Single Packs at Walmart?

by Dana Zeliff on October 31, 20112011-10-31
in Coupons, Walmart

Disclosure: This post may contain an affiliate link.

Did you have a problem using the new $2/1 any Tide Detergent coupon from the 10/30 P&G insert on the trial size?

I Heart the Mart has the answer to why the registers are beeping even though the product is Tide and the coupon doesn’t exclude the single packs.

According to Tides Facebook page:
The Tide single use packets are not distributed by P&G, they are “outsourced” to another company. That is why the coupon beeps, it does not recognize the manufacturer as P&G. Tide says it is up to the store to decide if they are accepting the coupon on the Tide single serve or not.

Personally, it’s not worth the hassle of arguing with my store.  It’s a their discretion to accept the coupon, and I know my store won’t.  I had a similar problem with the trail size Cascade.

Will you be using the coupon at Walmart on the single pack or just holding onto the coupon for a sale?

$2/1 any Tide Coupon = $1.03 Overage at Walmart

by Dana Zeliff on October 28, 20112011-10-28
in Coupons, Walmart

Disclosure: This post may contain an affiliate link.

Here is a great opportunity to take advantage of overage at Walmart!

Grab the $2/1 any Tide Detergent coupon that should be arriving in the October 30th P&G insert and head to your local Walmart where the Single Tide Pack is priced around $0.97.  This gives you $1.03 in overage!

Buy Single Load Tide @ $0.97
Use $2/1 Tide coupon from the 10/30 P&G insert
Final: FREE + $1.03 overage after coupon

Make sure to grab extra items to cover the overage.  This could be a great opportunity to save on non-coupon items such as meat, produce or milk.

*See more coupons you can expect this weekend at the Sunday Coupon Preview.

Thanks I Heart the Mart for the deal and photo!

Personally, I’m holding out to see if Farm Fresh will have $2 doubles next weekend to compete with Harris Teeter Super Doubles.
