Walmart Deals 03/20-03/26 Plus a Price Comparison for Hampton Roads

Thanks to Saving Well Spending Less for providing our new weekly Walmart deals!  Walmart prices vary greatly by region, so please use this as a shopping guide. 

I went to Walmart last week to compare the new matchups to the prices in Hampton Roads.  I’m happy to report that most of the deals are the same!  I didn’t check ALL the items but here are a few that I compared:

My Shopping Trip (03/16)

I ran to Farm Fresh today to pick up a few of the sale items.  I did the Instant Savings promo and grabbed a few other deals.  Since I was getting the lunch meat, I had to pick up the cheese to go with it.  See, double coupons do equal more sales 🙂 

Other than heading back for my free milk to use the CAT from last week, I’m done shopping.

I don’t have pictures for my other 2 trips, but I went to Walmart (see my Hasbro peelie post) and Farm Fresh last night.  I wanted to get my St. Patrick’s Day meal items in case the sale prices didn’t continue into this week.  If you haven’t purchased your corned beef and cabbage, I know the corned beef is still on sale for $2.99lb.

I was sad that Walmart was sold out of the small pack of Gain Dryer Sheets.  I need to use my coupon by the 31st!

New Walmart Coupon Policy

Walmart has a new coupon policy!  Sorry for the delay in posting about this!  I just realized it was still sitting in a draft.

Changes to be aware of:

  • “Coupons may exceed the price of the item. Change may be given or applied toward the cost of the basket purchase.”
  • Accept “Competitors’ coupons that feature a specific item for a specified price, for example $2.99.”  These are not $ off coupons, but a coupon that states that the item costs certain amount.  Walgreens weekly ad has a ton of these coupons.

Hopefully this will make your shopping trips a bit easier since the new policy clarifies a few things.  Make sure to print a copy of the coupon policy and take it with you shopping!
