Cleaning out the Supply Closet

Yesterday I cleaned out my supply closet to pull items for Couponing for Community.  That was a fun task!  I try to be fairly conservative with my stockpiling.  It must fit in that cabinet.  Once I get more than say 10 toothpaste tubes I grab several and donate.  This helps to keep me sane by not having all the closets and cabinets in the house overrun with my stockpile.  I also have a tiny pantry now and I’m forbidden from putting shelves in the garage…man territory ๐Ÿ™‚ I know some of you have much larger stockpiles with shelves and shelves if items, so you’ll be unimpressed.  I would like to see pictures of those sometime ๐Ÿ™‚

Here’s a look b/4 – don’t judge me

During
After
I organized, threw a ton of stuff in the trash and made a pile for donation.  I now have room to add more!!!  I noticed we’re in need of deodorant, only have 3 each, and kid soap and shampoo.  Now I know what to be on the look out for. A few things that I did was only kept 8 tubes of toothpaste, including adult and kid, and 2 mouthwash.  I did keep all 7 shaving creams because I don’t get those free too often.
Next up, my donation pile.
Did you use Couponing for Community as a chance to clean out the cabinets?

I'm glad you can accept the "man territory" mandate; my DH would be living there if he said that to me. :0/

My husband has a man cave. He does an excellent job of packing it out with his own stuff, and having his own space makes him just as happy as my stockpile makes me. It’s win-win.

Ha! We agreed when we moved that he could have the garage. Kid toys are allowed and my extra fridge and hopefully soon freezer. I get the rest of the house. I do still have a tendency to just throw and pile things out there though.

I did a similar thing yesterday! I'm kicking myself I didn't take pictures. I'm really jealous of your stockpile though…mine isn't nearly as well stocked ๐Ÿ™‚

LOL about "man territory"…back in the day when I was living with my ex, he would freak out when my cake box collection slowly started finding a home in a little nook in the garage. Funny, he didn't complain about eating the cake when I made it. MEN. ;D

Yes, they don't seem to mind when it works out for they're benefit! My 5 year old reminded me about pictures…I'd be lost without his memory ๐Ÿ™‚
