April and May of 2011 is permanently marked with Americans experiencing the largest tornado outbreak in US history. The devastation to individuals and families in the Southeast is unspeakable and life shattering. While a home is a structure that can one day be rebuilt, the families and lives of the owners will never be the same. The destruction carries a price tag of over $ 5 billion. To many who did not witness this event clutching a loved one in a basement or hiding in a cellar praying to survive, this suffering may go unnoticed. But, this country is a tightly woven community of interdependent lives and incomes. Our hearts are heavy and burdened for those who have suffered so much tragic loss of life and property. While you may not know their names and stories, hey are our neighbors, your neighbors, the backbone of our country.
