I’m participating in Couponing for Community that takes place the first week of May! Kaley over at Cha Ching on a Shoestring has organized a fantastic way for couponers to give back to our communities by hosting Couponing for Community on her blog.
Kaley is asking that we give away part of our stockpiles to local charities during the week on May 2nd. Remember that next week is the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, so you could just put out a bag of non-perishable items by your mailbox on Saturday, May 8. I will be donating food items this way, but I also have non-food items to donate as well. I need to clean out my supply closet, so this event will help me to stop procrastinating and get it done!
Harris Teeter triples this week may be a good time to pick up a few extra free or super cheap items to donate as well.
You can RSVP to this event on the Facebook HERE
Donate what you can to help local families in need. The amount you donate is up to you and anything will be greatly appreciated. In these tough economic times, more and more families need our help. Using coupons is a way that we can not only provide for our families, but help others in their time of need.
If your a blogger you may want to consider posting this on your site as well.
I’ll link up with Cha Ching on a Shoestring on May 8th to show my donation items. If you’re participating, let me know. If you don’t have a blog and want your picture posted, email me or post on facebook (you have to post to my fan page-I don’t have access to your personal page).
Together we can make a difference.

I am participating in this event too, I think it is a great cause! I donate all the time, it is nice to see a "virtual" community effort!
