Creating quality time in a marriage or with a significant other is imperative to the strength of a relationship.  But how to you stay on budget with everything else going on in your lives?  Living on Love and Cents & Madame Deals have put together a great article for this weeks Dating on a Dime series:

Spring is in the air is love? What can you do to make your romance come alive without spending a fortune? How about going for a walk and enjoying all that nature has to offer. I am a huge fan of scavenger hunts. How about making up a scavenger hunt and going for a nature walk. The first person to find all the items wins a back rub or foot rub when you are done your walk.

I am not sure about your husband but my husband will indulge me in anything that could result in a foot rub. There are some wonderful opportunities to embark on a journey. You never know what you will find. You could find more than a purple flower or a squirrel you could find the person that you originally fell in love with. Happy hunting!

I absolutely love going on walks. And I think they can be very romantic when it is just you and your husband. Especially walks on the beach, my absolute favorite.

Today was family day with the kids, well… the two out of three that wanted to spend family time at the park which only cost us $4 and the gas to drive the 30 mile round trip. And tonight is ‘date night’ with the Man which consists of a $3 container of worms and the gas it takes to drive the 20 mile round trip to the fishing hole. Night time fishing.. getting eaten by mosquitos and terrorized by spiders and ticks… how romantic can you get, huh?

LOL, you have fun with that 🙂

At least it’s inexpensive and he felt involved in the process. I’m sure you’ll have fun spending time together. Bring lots of bug spray!
