I Need Your Input

YOUR VOTE COUNTS!

I’m trying to determine what direction to take this blog in and I need your input!  What do you want to see more of?  What store deals do you want me to cover?  What deals or stores do you think I should omit?  What types of posts would you like to see?  Questions you want answered? Complaints? Whatever you want to share.

See my post HERE for HR area store deals I cover

There are a TON of amazing blogs out there, and I don’t want to be posting the same deals you see on every other site. However, I also want to make sure this site is providing the resources YOU are looking for.  What will make you come back for more?!

Please leave a comment or email me about how this site could serve YOU better.  If you add a store, please consider suggesting one to omit since store matchups can take hours each.

Thanks for your help!

I like your blog and can't remember how I stumbled onto it. I also follow The Coupon Consultant and several larger based blogs about couponing. Yours and Lori's are my favorite though since they're dedicated to my region.

I think what you cover is perfect! I like Walgreens, Farm Fresh and the Freebies/Coupons the most. Explaining your techniques and showing your results is fantastic too!!

If I could suggest one topic to cover in the future it would be a buy list for the Hampton Roads region. It would be nice to see what your willing to pay for all your grocery items to use as a guide for your readers. As long as I have been shopping and couponing for that matter, I still have trouble knowing when to stockpile and when to hold off because a better deal is coming!

    Thanks for all you do!

P.S. I have had trouble posting comments to your page. Unless I preview my comment first, it does not alert me to type in the code to post the comment. I hope that makes sense!

I love that you post Farm Fresh & Harris Teeter. Also, post your pictures from your weekly savings cause those are so much fun to do & see. I'm thrilled with your site.

Thanks to you both for commenting! I appreciate it!

    Amber:
Yes, I'm a baby compared to some of these other amazing women! I like your idea of the prices I'm willing to pay. I'll have to write them down. Right now it's all just floating around in my head which isn't really a good thing. I do have meat prices on my fridge so that'll be easy. The problem is trying to gauge when another sale is coming out. I do have some items that I flat out refuse to pay more than a certain price for, though.

I'll look into the commenting issue. I have no idea why that's happening.

    Heather:
I post some of my shopping trips but with time permitting I can add more. I was wondering if I should drop Farm Fresh since Lori already covers it but since both of you like it, it'll stay.

Thanks again and keep the comments coming!
    You can also email me.

    Dana,

I like to visit your site also. I have added it to my daily round. I also like that you're local and I know the feedback I read will be from my area.

The drug stores are hardest for me to navigate, just starting CVS since the new one opened on Kempsville. I enjoy seeing different scenarios.

I also have a problem posting comments as Amber mentioned above. Not sure why.

Not sure how much work it would be, but especially w/summer coming, I'd love to see low/no cost kids activities and such for the area.

    Thanks again.

I think you're doing an awesome job! I love the deals specific to our area. I usually just shop at Farm Fresh, Walgreen's, and Rite Aid. I really don't mind if some of the deals overlap from other sites. You give them credit, and then it saves me time anyway!

My only idea is posting any cheap or free events in the Hampton roads area if you come across them.

Also, maybe could post sales once in a while that are going on at the Williamsburg outlets. I'm not sure where you live, but I guess you could be too far away that you don't go there. For instance, Stride Rite kids is having their buy one get one 50% off right now. Carters usually has a couple big sales a year. That idea may not be worth your time, but I was just brainstorming and thinking of area specific things.

By the way, I had an AWESOME time at the new CVS on Kempsville the other day. I used the coupons they sent us in the mail for the store opening and ended up with 4 Arm & Hammer jugs of laundry detergent, Coke, 2 boxes of Kleenex, excedrin (from the free coupon in the mail) and I don't remember what else, and I paid $3 + change and got back $5.50 in ECBs. I couldn't believe I just made money on LAUNDRY DETERGENT! Go me!

I was excited about the CVS in Kempsville opening too. Watch for a new post about CVS coming later today especially for you 🙂

I'll definitely be including kids’ activities for the summer. One from previous years is that local movie theaters show free movies, so I'll link those up when they become available.

    Thanks for your input!

    Megan:
Thanks! I did see an event at the Y today that I'll post. I'll look into the outlets and try to get on an email list to post those sales.

    Heather:
You had a great run! Laundry detergent is almost never free much less a moneymaker! I was bummed that I didn't get a flyer with the newspaper or coupons in the mail. Great job!

I eliminated the word verification for comments. I hope that will fix the problem. Let me know if you still have issues.

    Thanks again for the comments!

HI! I just found your blog today! I am a "newbie" to blogging but I do like your site. I am also in Hampton Roads and I noticed you have a note in your side bar about fellow Hampton Roads bloggers. I think that is a great touch! Often I go on other blogs and have to really search to find out where they are from. My blog is also geared towards bargain shopping but it also has some recipes and a Kids Corner since I am a certified teacher taking some time off from teaching in public schools to be at home with my baby. I look forward to reading your posts!

I'm glad you found me! I liked the kid's corner on your blog. I added you to my sidebar. I want locals to know where to go to get deals for our area.
    Enjoy!
