Some of you have told me great things about NCP.  While I haven’t tried them out personally; I’ve gotten enough feedback to say that it’s something you may want to look into if you’re looking to make a little bit of extra money.  Maybe for Christmas?

Join Nielsen Home Scan Consumer Panel and earn points which are redeemable for electronics, household items, jewelry, toy, gift cards, and more.

If you get accepted, let me know what you think of the program.

Some areas may not excepting new applicants. It just doesn’t tell me which areas until you try to sign up. I would try again next time because spots are always opening up

I got accepted and got sent the scanner and everything, but then I started reading the instructions — YIKES! You have to scan every item you buy, that’s a given. But you also have to do 12 steps for every item… where you got it, if it was on sale, if you used a coupon, etc etc etc. It would take a long time to do each week, and I figured out the pay is only about .50 to 1.50 a week! Not worth it to me. I sent the scanner back.

I hope others have better luck – I’ve heard from readers making a decent amount of money with the program. $1.50 per week is definitely not worth it, though.
