I’ve been doing a LOT of thinking. What is the best way to utilize my blogging time? What posts do readers not really care about? What will make readers come back?
I’ve had all these questions and more running through my head lately. There are sooo many great blogs out there. I had no idea of the sheer number before I started blogging. I only knew of 2 in my area and they averaged around 3 posts per week. My sidebar now has 5 bloggers in Hampton Roads! I’d advise (for your sanity and time) to have 5-10 blogs on your blogroll. You want to read the large blogs because they obviously are able to post more deals. So why read smaller blogs? That’s what I want your input for.
A few of my thoughts:
- I’m working on links for other stores in the area-Target, Walmart, Food Lion, etc. I have a few links saved but if you have a favorite, let me know
- I’d like to write more- I have several posts in draft and I’d like to do a DIY series
- I think everyone likes my purchase pictures???
- I don’t want to be posting the same deals you see on 50 other sites-redundant??
- Do you like the events page?
- I’ve been grouping deals into 1 post as a time saver. Okay???
- Do you read my Farm Fresh, Harris Teeter, CVS or WAGS matchups or should I just link some? Farm Fresh will have to stay but I’m open to anything else. Just keep in mind that I average 7-10 hours a week on matchups so that’s a lot of blogging time-oh seriously
If you don’t mind, please take a moment to leave a comment or email me (thecouponchallenge @ gmail.com)
What will keep The Coupon Challenge on your daily blog roll? What do you want to see more of? What don’t you like?
Any thoughts you have will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Now I’m off to Harris Teeter and to get my Fun and Cheap Summer Fun post done-it’s been in draft a month!

For me, your blog is a great one-stop blog for the local area. I love your purchase pictures, of course, and Farm Fresh matchups especially. I love when you post what you got at the store before I get off of work on Wednesday because I might see something in your purchases I had overlooked in the matchups. I don't feel like I need free sample or other deal posts unless they are local, because I have enough other blogs on my blogroll that cover those, and I don't mind them being grouped into 1 post at all! I like your events page and other local events/deals that you find. I also agree that I can find Walgreens, CVS & HT on other blogs so if you want to save yourself the time, feel free.
Thank you so much for all the work you put into this blog. It really is helpful. I definitely would look forward to articles should you start publishing some of your series!
PS. Do you ever shop at thrift stores? Do you know of some good, inexpensive ones? I've been to the Salvation Army at Greenbrier but to me, it's a little steep to pay $7 for used shoes at a Salvation Army.

I love your blog. In fact when I am at a store and someone comments on my excessive pile of coupons in a positive way I tell them about your blog. It has a good variety of information for a number of stores and deals. I would not go so far as to say it is perfect but if I had a blog I would want it to be like yours.
Wood elves-call around. The salvation army by me does half off all clothes on wednesday and the one by lynnhaven mall has a color coded tag system and will offer half off clothes with that color tag. Maybe they have deals you don't know about.

Your blog has quickly become one of my favorite blogs. I love your purchase pictures. I pretty much only shop at Farm Fresh and Harris Teeter and your matchups are great for both of them. I would love to see a DIY series too. I just can't thank you enough for all your hard work!

Your blog is great! I love that you seem to have more matchups on HT and FF than others do (or they just redirect to your site!) You do an excellent job there! I really liked the one or two times you posted about freezer cooking day. That was actually what first captivated me about your blog! My hubby and I love the brown bag burritos! It saves so much time to cook a large amount of food at once! I would love to see more of those posts! 🙂
