Some of you may already know that I’ve been doing the Insanity Workout.  You can read more about the Insanity Workout and my thoughts on Day 1 here.  There has been a lot of discussion on The Coupon Challenge Facebook Page, so I wanted to give you all an update – I fit into my Skinny Jeans today!  I slipped them on without any jumping, tugging or wiggling (you all know what I’m talking about!)

Here is a bit of am Insanity Workout Review:

I’ve completed Week 4 and start my Recover Week tomorrow.  I’m looking forward to a week of recovery, but I have no doubt that the week will still provide an intense workout.  I’m more nervous to start Week 6 which includes a new round of DVD’s for a Max routine.  I’ve definitely improved in my stamina, speed and power over the past 4 weeks, but I’m not sure I’m ready to take it to the next level!

My 4 weeks of the Insanity Work has changed my body and shown me that I really can “dig deeper” and improve my health.  Although, I both look forward to and dread working out each morning 🙂

I haven’t lost any weight in 4 weeks.  That is disappointing, but I am consuming more “good” calories and I’ve developed more muscle.  As you know, muscle weighs more than fat.   The true test (other than you can literally see my “saddle bags” are almost gone) is that I was able to wear pants today that I haven’t worn in years!  I don’t know why everyone I told that today wasn’t as excited as I am 🙂

This workout is truly insane.  I often think to myself that you really do need to be a bit crazy to do this workout.  I have to stop and hit the pause button more times than I care to admit.  There are times when I can barely catch my breath and my wood floor is slippery from sweat (gross, I know), but it has been totally worth the pain and jelly legs (there are only so many times you can jump before your legs refuse to comply.)  I feel great and look better.

Since I do post about saving money, I believe this workout is a good value.  I’ve cancelled my gym membership, so basically I’ll have paid for the DVD set in less than 2 months.  I’m also saving time and gas by not driving to the gym everyday.  All that’s not to mention that I’ve lost more inches in 4 weeks than I lost in months at the gym!

I do plan to pay more attention to my diet to assist in weight lose.  I eat well, but I know I can do better. I’ll let you know how things go after I complete the 60 days.  I hope I can say bye-bye to more clothes and hello to a shopping trip – with coupons of course 😉

Are you doing the Insanity Workout or have any questions?
