Farm Fresh Weekly Ads

Farm Fresh supermarket is a grocery store located in Virginia and North Carolina.  Each week we update deals for the Farm Fresh ad and match the current sales with coupons.   I also find deals in-store and using the Farm Fresh online shopping feature.  Depending on your area, you can have groceries delivered to your home and waiting for you at the store for pick-up.

Farm Fresh hours can vary but stores are usually open from 6am – midnight.

Farm Fresh pharmacy is also great when you’re picking up groceries.  Drop your prescription off, do your shopping and come back when you’re finished.  The pharmacist has always been friendly and answered all our questions.

Learn about the Farm Fresh Military Discount Policy – Present a Military ID for 10% off Farm Fresh Family Brand Products everyday.   And see the Farm Fresh Coupon Policy before shopping.

Make sure to check back each week for updates in the Farm Fresh weekly ads with a printable shopping list.  You don’t want to miss all the savings at your local Farm Fresh supermarket.

by Dana Zeliff on March 23, 20112011-03-23
in Farm Fresh Weekly Ads, Harris Teeter Weekly Ad, My Shopping Trip

Disclosure: This post may contain an affiliate link.

I’m back from my whirlwind shopping experience!  I ran to Harris Teeter as soon as I dropped LuLu off at school.  Unfortunately, most of the freebies were with coupons that I had used previously, but I still had a good trip.  Sorry, the Ortega got left off the matchups!  This is a lot for a first trip, but I picked up trash bags, baggies, coffee and milk.  Additionally, a couple of the coupons I was planning to use at HT, I used at FF.

Thanks to Ann for the heads up to search for Hefty peelies!!

Get your Harris Teeter matchups for the sale ad here and regular price here

I was especially pleased with Farm Fresh today.  I got a TON of freebies!  I’m not sure what’s going on with the Nabisco Facebook coupons.  The Wheat Thins were there last night and now the Triscuit won’t load.  Hopefully you printed them from the HT list on Sunday!  If you have the coupons, the Wheat Thins Stix are also part of the Instant Savings promo!  Watch the Cinnamon and Chipolte variety.  They aren’t ringing up right and will need to be adjusted.

I’ll have happy kids later!  Does pairing the yogurt with the post treats make them any healthier?  We’ll pretend yes.

Farm Fresh Meal Idea: Diana’s Chicken Thighs with Honey & Soy Sauce

by Dana Zeliff on March 19, 20112011-03-19
in Farm Fresh Weekly Ads, Recipes

Disclosure: This post may contain an affiliate link.

This is a meal that my mother-in-law makes.  I think it is a frugal dish because I always (okay, almost always) have these ingredients on hand.

The Farm Fresh 03/16 weekly ad has Perdue Boneless Skinless Chicken breasts on sale for $1.99lb.  I typically purchase the bone-in, skin-on thighs because it is significantly cheaper and it only takes a few minutes to remove the skin.  There is something to be said for convenience though!

Diana’s Chicken Thighs with Honey & Soy Sauce

Serve with rice and carrots

Price for chicken $3.16
*Assuming all other ingredients on hand
Richfood Instant Rice $1.79
Baby Carrots $0.99

Total cost: $5.94
*When I made this, I served with free rice and $0.33 corn = $3.52

Ingredients
4-6 Chicken thighs
1/4 Cup honey
2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp Lemon juice
2 Tbsp Melted butter or margarine
1 Egg Yolk

Directions
1. Preheat over to 400°F and grease or spray baking dish
2. Mix all ingredients in bowl
3. Roll chicken in mixture and place in prepared dish.  Pour remaining mixture over chicken
4. Bone-in: Bake 30-35 min, flip and bake another 30-35 min. or until done
Boneless: Bake  20 min, flip and bake another 20 min. or until done

I posted about these 2 rebates I found at the Mt. Pleasant Farm Fresh yesterday:

Bud Light Lime Rebate– $6 back wyb $10 of seafood
Bud Light Rebate– $7 back wyb $14 of salty snacks, water, buns, etc

A Frugal Chick sent me an email from reader Lisa.  She found another rebate on a beer display.  I wish I had this one!!

Miller Lite Rebate: $15.00 back with $100 in-store purchases. Does not say you need to buy the beer, excludes pizza.  FF at the corner of Baxter and Princess Anne Rd.  The display was sat on top of the coors light/miller lite display in front of beer cooler.

I was sad that Walmart was sold out of the small pack of Gain Dryer Sheets.  I need to use my coupon by the 31st!
