Beth’s Harris Teeter Trip – $1.99/lb Chicken and $1.25 Strawberries

As I was getting ready to go to Harris Teeter, I saw this post about Sargento Shredded Cheese for only $0.94 and I salivated.  I admit it, I’m addicted to cheese, especially at a great price and $0.94 is great.  So I printed the five coupons.  BUT while cleaning out my fridge I realized that I have 50 full or partial bags of cheese!  So, needless to say, I didn’t get cheese today.  Instead I got mac & cheese!  Here’s what else was in my cart:

5.38 lbs Skinless Boneless Chicken Breasts – $10.76
10 Kraft Mac & Cheese – $8.00
1 Betty Crocker Walnut Brownie Mix (Marked B1G1) – $1.49
2 New York Texas Toast Crispy Onions – $3.34 – I thought these were a better deal, but they were in the wrong slot 🙁

1 HT Waffles – $1.67
1 Blue Bunny Ice Cream Cones – $2.00

Final: $29.76

Total Saved: $34.34

That is 53% savings!  Just a heads up – If you are getting the $1.99/lb chicken deal, you need to get it at the meat counter.
