Adding our button to your post or a link back to us is always appreciated but not required.

My only shopping trip so far this week was to CVS and it’s actually a rather embarrassing first post.  My OOP would have been substantially less, but I made a HUGE mistake.  I mailed $11 in ECB’s to Aveeno with my mail-in rebate last week!  We all make mistakes, and I can guarantee I’ll never do that again!  I don’t think I’ve ever spent this much at CVS. I really like Neutrogena Sun Screen and I have a mail-in rebate form, so I spent more OOP to get what I wanted instead of waiting for a better deal to build my ECB’s back up.  I’ll use the school supplies for donations that were requested today from LuLu’s Vacation Bible School.

You can score these deals through Saturday (except for the school supplies which ends today).
Get my matchups HERE

Caliber Scissors $0.99, Earn $0.99 ECB’s
Papermate Pens $0.99, Earn $0.99 ECB’s
2 Neutrogena Sun Screens $19.98, Earn $10 ECB’s
Used 2 $2/1 coupons
Used $4 ECB’s (very sad)
Used $0.50 CRT from kiosk

Total Paid: $13.56 (ouch)
Earned $11.98 ECB’s
Total Saved: $11.50

I will submit for an $8 MIR from Budweiser.  Valid when you purchase $10 of “Beach Resort” items.  Rebate form found in beer aisle at Farm Fresh.  It makes my expensive trip almost tolerable!

Now it’s your turn.  I hope you can show up my sad trip this week!

Please visit again next Tuesday!

I’m not too happy looking over my receipt.  Three, count them, 3 coupons didn’t double!  I grabbed a few extra items, so I really didn’t know how much I should have been paying for my trip today.  I’ll probably head back up after LuLu’s nap, but it may be too late to do anything about it.  Also, I actually purchased 4 boxes of cereal for $0.50 each because I only had 7 boxes left in the cabinet.  I was starting to feel a little antsy without my usual 20 boxes.  I guess I donated too many a couple months ago.  Anyways,

I went back to HT today to pick up a few more items.  The cheap Kellogg’s cereals were gone, so I skipped that deal.  You will all be happy to know that Hanbury has restocked a lot of items.  Can you say $1.49 Kotex liners?  Oh yes, you read that correctly.  There were about 6 on the shelf.  Glass Plus, the 3 pack Scotch Brite sponges (above) plus some others that I’d made a mental note of and now can’t remember.
See my matchups HERE
1 Milk
1 Bread
2 Scotch Brite Sponges (3 pk) B1G1 $2.99-$1/2 printable =$0.99 ($0.17 a sponge, not bad)
2 Wheatables $2.99- $1.50/1 printable=FREE
2 Colgate Toothpaste=FREE
1 Electrasol=$1.99
3 OB Tampons $1.53 (markdown)-$1/1 from 04/25 SS insert=FREE
Total Paid: $6.32
Total Saved: $18.98

CVS
I also went to CVS today for some of the great deals.  I split into 2 transactions since both deals yielded a $10 ECB.  Some of you may not agree, but I could have used another $5 ECB for transaction 1.  I chose to pay cash because the ECB will be worth more to me later rolling it than using it on an MIR.  That’s just how my brain works.  I may have thought differently if my grocery budget was running low.
See my matchups HERE
Transaction 1
1 Aveeno Shampoo
1 Aveeno Conditioner
1 Aveeno Conditioning Spray
1 Aveeno Smoothing Spray with bonus pack
Used 4 $1.50/1 printables
Used $13 ECB’s
Used $5.10 (remaining on free gift card)
Total Paid $3.16
Total Saved $23.50 (not counting GC)
Earned $10 ECB’s
Will Submit for $10 MIR, making my trip “free”
Transaction 2
2 Schick Hydro 3 razors
1 Edge Shave Gel
Used 2 $5/1 coupons
Used 1 $0.75/1 coupon
Used $10 ECB’s from transaction 1
Total Paid $1.27 (tax was $1.05)
Total Saved $20.75
Earned $10 ECB’s plus $1 ECB’s for green bag tag
There is a free Schick Hydro MIR-but I’ve already submitted
Have you had more fun shopping trips?

Imagine Picture Here

Yesterday was my anniversary.  We’ve been married 5 years but have been together (as of May) for 11 years!  Exactly a 1/3 of Derrick’s life.  I figure it’s time to use his name instead of just hubby 🙂

We put the kids in Parent’s Night Out at the Y and went to dinner.  I actually plan to write separately about out dinner because it’s been so long since we’ve actually eaten out and said we’d go back.  After dinner and hanging around Towne Center, Derrick went with my to Harris Teeter before picking up the kids.  He’s so good to me!  I didn’t take a picture but here’s what we picked up.

See my matchups HERE

1 Kraft ranch e-VIC $1-$0.55/1 printable=FREE
1 Dannon Activia e-VIC $0.99-$0.50/1 printable=FREE
2 Wheatables $2.99-$1.50/1 printable=FREE
2 Hartz Cat Treats $1.59-$1.50/1 from 04/11 SS insert=FREE

Don’t judge me with all the ice cream in the picture. I just couldn’t say no and we have plenty of money in the grocery budget. I split the Ice Cream promo (2 lil’ drum, 1 Dibs, and 1 cup) into 2 transactions so I could use the 1st $4 CAT towards the 2nd Ice cream promo. Farm Fresh
Farm Fresh is having double coupons through tomorrow.  I had to pick up a few items for Moneyboys end of the year party that I was assigned, so I went through my coupons to see what I had left.  I know everyone likes to see the super low OOP and free trips, but lately I just haven’t had time to split transactions or make a lot of trips.  Sorry!

Asparagus $2.19

Walgreens
I ran into WAGS on Sunday with about a minute and a half prep time with hubby and the kids in the car.  My plan was to purchase the above (excluding candy) in 1 transaction to save time and do THIS in a 2nd transaction.  Well, they haven’t restocked the Neutrogena bars or I just keep missing out on them.  Scratch idea 1.
It had also been posted all over bloggerland that the Nivea Active 3 were ringing up BOGO so I had 2 in my basket.  Obviously from the picture it didn’t ring up BOGO for me.  Needless to say I overspent because I split the razor and paper in 1 transaction to use the RR on the 2 Nivea’s.  Well, the Nivea didn’t ring up BOGO so I had the 2nd voided which meant that my item # was off (needed 2 items to use a coupon and RR) so I grabbed a $0.39 candy bar. Now I was under the total to be able to use the RR so I ended up with 3 candy bars.  Basically, had a purchased the razor then the Nivea and paper I would have been golden.
See my matchups HERE
Transaction 1
Total Spent $5.49, Earned $4 RR
Total Saved $6.00
Transaction 2
Total Spent $0.49, Earned $6 RR
Total Saved $7.72
After factoring in the $6 RR I have left I “made” $0.02
I’d used up my RR’s before vacation so I didn’t have to run out before they expired.  Keep rolling the RR’s weekly to lower your OOP and maximize your savings.

CVS
Gillette and Old Spice are ringing up LIMIT 2!!!!!!  Thanks to a comment I was hoping I would get that lucky.  I used the BOGO coupon so I didn’t even pay for the 2nd Gillette!  There were plenty left on the shelves of Gillette, Old Spice and Schick.  I think they may have overstocked in anticipation of all the shoppers because extras were piled on top of the products lined up on the shelves.  Thanks Volvo CVS!
See my matchups HERE
I did the $1 donation to ALS
Used $8 ECB’s
Total Spent $1.82, Earned $12 ECB’s!!!!!!!
Total Saved $19.00
