Costume Super Center Review

Do you have children that like to play dress up?  My little one is always strutting around the house (or store) in a different outfit.  Her favorite dress up clothes are anything Princess.  Surprise, Surprise!

I was given the opportunity to review a fabulous online company, Costume Super Center.  LuLu was enthralled with the selection of costumes.  After browsing the site, we finally ended up on the princess costumes page.  The delight on her face was unparalleled!  It took longer than I care to mention for her to choose a costume to review.  She went back and forth on which costume would make her look the most beautiful!

She finally decided on the ever popular Disneys Child Belle Costume.  How cute!  Her only complaint when the costume arrived, “where are the matching shoes!”

I was impressed with the selection and price of costumes available.  The Belle costume is only $22.99 and I foresee, at minimum, 2 years of use from the size small.  The quality and attention to detail is surprising.  The gold stitch detailing and flared accent drapes in sheer fabric make this costume stand out and resemble the ballroom gown worn by Belle in the end of the movie.  Yes, she has watched the movie in her Belle costume!

Costume Super Center has a wide selection of boy and adult costumes as well.  My oldest will occasionally throw on a ninja or pirate costume, but he has grown out of the excitement of dressing as his favorite character. Although, I think the Star Wars costumes might just tempt him!

The great thing about the Costume Super Center is that your children can use the costumes for play year round, not just for Halloween.  You can pop on the site anytime during the year to find a high quality costume for the little Princess or Prince in your life!

PromotionCode.org Review

by Dana Zeliff on April 8, 20112011-04-08

Disclosure: This post may contain an affiliate link.

Shopping online has become a part of daily life.  We can jump on the computer anytime of the day or night and order products from our favorite stores with a few clicks of the mouse.  Long gone are the days of waiting for the store to open and fighting crowds to get in and out of the mall.

With the popularity of online shopping, has come more ways to save.  PromotionCode.org is a site dedicated to putting together the expansive list of online promotion codes for your saving pleasure.  You can search for promo codes from some of your favorite stores such as Target, Walmart & Kohls or search for codes by category.  You will instantly be provided with promotional codes to suite your every need as well as the success rate of each code.   I don’t know about you, but I like to know my odds of a code working before hitting the “checkout” button.

One of the best things about PromotionCode.org is their free shipping codes page.  I shop online to save myself time and money.  If I have to pay shipping, I might as well head to the store and buy the item myself!  This is my #1 search for promo codes when I’m buying online.

Free shipping codes can add up to huge savings especially with the rising cost of gas.    If you can pair that with a Promotional Code for a percentage or money off your entire purchase, you have just scored yourself a deal!

More about PromotionCode.org for their site:
This site is made possible almost entirely by people like you–people looking for a great deal. If you find a coupon or promotion code you think would benefit someone else please post it to the site.

Head over to PromotionCode.org and let me know if you’re able to find a promotional code that you’ve been looking for.

I was compensated for my time writing this post.  All opinions are 100% my own and may differ from others.

Purex Complete Crystals Softener

by Dana Zeliff on March 8, 20112011-03-08

Disclosure: This post may contain an affiliate link.

I was given the opportunity to try Purex Complete Crystals Softener as part of being a Purex Insider.  I was sent a sample of the Fresh Spring Waters scent and a free product coupon that I used to purchase the Lavender Blossom scent.

Purex Complete Crystals Softener is 92% natural crystals that go in at the start of the wash so they spend more time with your laundry infusing them with long-lasting freshness.  Unlike traditional fabric softeners, Purex Complete Crystals is not made with oil which can cause build-up on clothes overtime.  I found it interested that oil-based softeners can leave an oily reside on children’s clothing which can impair the flame-resistant feature.

Using Purex Complete Crystals Softener does take some getting used to.  I’m not accustom to pouring crystals into my washing machine!  After using the new softener, my clothes were left soft with a fresh scent; however, I would like to see a fragrance free or lighter scent variety for those suffering from allergies.  I tend to purchase Free and Clear laundry products to help with my families allergies and skin sensitivities.

A great feature of Purex is that the products are compatible with both a standard washing machine as well as High Efficiency.  I am constantly have to be conscience of which bottles I’m purchasing.  I’m famous for grabbing a bottle off the shelf and realizing later it’s for an he machine.

The 6 Sides of Purex Complete Crystals:

  • Soft
    Light and fluffy softness
  • Natural
    92% natural Ingredients
  • Versatile
For all loads including towels, children’s sleepwear, and sportswear
  • Convenient
Add at the start of the wash
  • Clean
Free of oil-based softening ingredients found in liquid softeners
  • Fresh
Scent that lasts for weeks, not days

Watch the video on the Purex website to learn more about the drawbacks of oil based softeners and the advantages of 92% natural Purex Complete Crystals.

*Make sure you print a $1/1 Purex Complete Crystals Softener coupon from Facebook while you’re there!

Thomas’ Bagel Thins Review

Thomas’ Bagel Thins:  All the flavor, 110 calories – finally a bagel you’ll feel good about eating!

Thomas’ Bagel Thins are a delicious breakfast option with only 110 calories!  The size of the new bagel thins is perfect for my family.   They have the taste and texture of our favorite traditional bagels, only thinner.  We like to add a little bit of butter or strawberry cream cheese to our bagels at breakfast or make egg sandwiches for brunch.

Thoma’s Bagel Thins come in four varieties; 100% Whole Wheat, Everything, Plain and Cinnamon Raisin.  Derrick & the kids prefer Thomas’ Bagel Thins Cinnamon Raisin while I like the Plain.  The kids even ate the cinnamon raisin variety as an after school snack with peanut butter.  Yum!

The Bzz from family & friends:

  • Delicious
  • Filling
  • Perfect for making breakfast bagel sandwiches

How do you eat your bagel?

Disclosure: I received Thomas’ Bagel Thins to review and share as part of a BzzCampaign.

SWAGG App Review

by Dana Zeliff on December 20, 20102010-12-20
in Reviews

Disclosure: This post may contain an affiliate link.

Are you tired of carrying around all those plastic gift cards?   SWAGG launched a new app which provides a solution to the troublesome problem of how to deal with the overabundance of gift cards, loyalty & membership cards that clutter up your wallet or purse.  Basically you can load all those gift cards, loyalty points, etc into your iPhone or Android mobile device!

SWAGG allows consumers to import more than 250 brands of gift cards and rewards cards and, unlike plastic cards, SWAGG permits consumers to view available balance and reward information on most of these cards. If you’re like me, you never know how much is left on your gift cards.  Having the balance right at my fingertips will be a huge benefit!  You can also use your mobile device to give, get and even exchange SWAGG GIFTS from participating merchant partners such as American Apparel Inc., The Wet Seal Inc., Crocs Inc., 1-800-Flowers.com and Arden B.

I loaded a $20 gift card to American Eagle onto my SWAGG account.  It was simple to sign up & select my card.  I haven’t had the opportunity to use my gift card since I avoid malls this close to Christmas, but I’m looking forward to paying for my purchase with my phone!

Need another reason to download the SWAGG app?  For every download through the month of December,  SWAGG will donate $1 to Stand Up 2 Cancer!

Disclosure: I received $20 in my SWAGG account as part of Mom Bloggers Club to review this app.  All opinions are 100% my own.

Pop Goes Froggio Game from Hasbro Review

by Dana Zeliff on December 19, 20102010-12-19
in Reviews

Disclosure: This post may contain an affiliate link.

Pop Goes Froggio is a cute new game from Hasbro.   It is recommended for ages 3 and up with 2 to 4 players.

How to play Hop Goes Froggio:
Place the lily pads featuring Elefun and his friends face down around the room. Children take turns spinning the butterfly spinner and race around to try and find the matching Elefun character. Once the matching lily pad is found, the preschooler stomps on the lily pad launcher to send Froggio flying!  The child who catches Froggio gets to keep 1 of the cards.  The child with the most cards at the end of the game wins!

My kids love this game, but they rarely play exactly as stated in the directions.  I think the fun of the game is more jumping on the lily pad launcher & trying to catch Froggio instead of determining a winner.  My preschooler loves to hunt for the lily pad characters & enjoys attempting to send Friggio flying through the air.  She doesn’t seem to stomp hard enough, though.  Everyone has learned to stand really close to the launcher when it’s her turn to stomp!  My 6 year old & his friends enjoy taking turns stomping on the lily pad launcher to see who can send Froggio flying the farthest.  I’m amazed the game is still intact!

It’s difficult to find a game that a 3 year old & 6 year old both enjoy.  Hasbro has yet again come out with a game that both my kids can enjoy together.  If you’re looking for a cute new game for your children, you can purchase Pop Goes Friggio at retailers nationwide or online.

Disclosure: I received the Pop Goes Froggio Game by Hasbro to review and keep. No other compensation was received. All opinions are 100% my own and may differ from others. Any factual information was obtained from the company website.
