In case you missed it – Harris Teeter updated their Raincheck Policy and not for the better. The new policy has 2 key changes effective today, March 29th.
- Rainchecks expire 60 days from date of issue and are accepted at any Harris Teeter store.
- Rainchecks cannot be combined with any paper coupon for the same item.
That means our days of having rainchecks that never expire is over. While I loved the lifetime rainchecks, 60 days is okay. I can’t complain too much over this as it seems reasonable.
We also will no longer be able to use coupons with a raincheck. That’s sad news for those coupon events where we can get even more freebies. This is the part of the policy that I find most disappointing, and I hope they will eventually reconsider.
Please note that old rainchecks need to be used by May 31, 2017. If you’re like me – you might have some that are years old 🙂
