ImagiPlay Counting Octopi Puzzle Review

My kids love puzzles!  It’s a quiet activity that allows the kids to relax and work out how the pieces fit together while also helping to promote fine-motor skills.  The kids, however, care nothing of this.  They just find puzzles fun.  They both enjoy the challenge and the satisfaction of seeing their hard-work complete.  The ColorMeUp Counting Octopi from ImagiPlay sparked both my kids interest.  You see, the ColorMeUp Counting Octopi is more than just a puzzle, it’s art!

This all natural 8pc 3D Counting Octopi puzzle offers numbers on one side arranged in evens and odds, and baby octopi on the other side.  It’s handcrafted from managed forest Basswood making it an eco-friendly product for your child.  The kids initially got their creative juices flowing by painting the ColorMeUp Counting Octopi.  It was difficult to get the paints on at first.  It seems more like colored wood stain than a traditional paint.   The kids were each allowed to paint part of the Octopi puzzle, although LuLu painted most of it.  They spent 2 days painting and admiring their handiwork.

Monkeyboy is 6, so he is proficiant with his numbers.  He was able to assist LuLu in putting the puzzle together.  She has enjoyed counting and fitting the numbers where they belong.  She now pulls the puzzle out every other day and spends time counting or painting.  My children have both enjoyed playing with their new puzzle, and I love that the ColorMeUp Octipi Puzzle is an educational  toy that teaches numbers and creativity.
