My Farm Fresh and Walgreen’s Shopping Trips (10/06)

I don’t have an exciting trip to share this week.  However, I was excited about the sale on Folger’s this week.  I thought I would end up with store brand today.  I also needed sugar and zucchini for dinner tonight. I went today on the assumption that my DND coupons would be adjusted down.  The coupons weren’t checked and all doubled automatically except for 1.  I’ll let you know more as FF determines what they are going to do about the DND coupon policy.

I didn’t do the deal on the back page of the ad this week.  It states that the CAT is after coupons, but I know shoppers had the CAT print on the deal last week after spending less than $25 after coupons.  Ann, let me know if it worked for you 🙂  My only thought is to make sure the CAT machine is on, has paper and you watch your products.  If there is an error and it doesn’t print, customer service can use the extra wording in the ad to refuse to print your CAT.

Lastly, I have to report that my favorite manager John from the Mt. Pleasant store has been transferred to Ghent.  Sad, sad day!

Lucky, I think I need to protest 🙂

The cashier told me he went to the Ghent store. Not only is does he quickly fix problems; he actually likes crazy coupon ladies! PLUS he's nice and even remembers my kids!

We'll all miss John for sure! I haven't even been trying to use DND coupons because last week two slipped past me and the cashier refused to double them when they didn't. I didn't even try this week. It's really crushing my yogurt deals 🙁 Guess it all depends on who you get. I got the rice krispies, treats and cookies for 75 cents each. Junk food but I allow the kids each one for their lunches so I just won't have to buy for a while. I also got the last of my danimals for free (my last coupon that didn't have DND on it) I did better at rite aid. Three bags of reeses, three bags of kit kats and 2 bags of dove promises for 98 cents (well 5.98 OOP really but I got $5 back in UP rewards)

I was all excited for a moment! I thought Walgreens had the folgers on sale. I just used the last of the coffee and really need to get it but I don't have a Farm Fresh here… GRR.

Yesterday when I went, I got the Mentos gum for $1.50 & used the $1 off any Mentos coupon that said do not double but it did double and I had 2 of them.
And I had a printable coupon for my coffee and its was in black and white and she said that it has to be in color because it could be a copy..? You can copy something in color and it come out in color so I wasn't sure what the point of her saying that was. She mentioned the yellow dots on the expiration date {the dots were there just black} but that just didn't make sense to me. She did take them anyway..I went to the one on Diamond Springs Road in Va Bch.
