My Farm Fresh Shopping Trip 03/03

Disclosure: This post may contain an affiliate link.

I had the worst luck at Farm Fresh today but it worked out well in the end. See my matchups HERE.
My plan was to only do the ConAgra deal (all that free yogurt plus a Catalina!) First I was unable to get the 2 DanActive and 2 Dannon Coolision Tubes that I needed for the sale. Ok, I improvised. I picked up 2 light n fit (coupon not as good-$2/2 instead of FREE) I still needed another $4 so I grabbed 3 Hunts Diced tomatoes and used $0.45/3 from insert and 1 Chef Boyardee (no coupon) and headed to checkout.

3 of the 4 Kraft cheese didn’t ring up on sale (needed to use last 2 coupons)
The Wesson Oil (part of ConAgra) rang up $2 instead of $2.48
3 Hunts Tomatoes rang up $0.98 each instead of $1 each
Normally, I’d say yeah I got it for cheaper. This time no, it put me under $25 so no $10 CAT.
I was refunded the Kraft money and handed the $10 cash for the Catalina and kept the $0.54 from the under pricing.

Total Originally Paid: $17.67
Total Saved: $35.83 (coupons)
Total Paid after Refund: $2.97!!

Will go back later for cheez-Its and Softsoap

That must've been very frustrating. I have to say I had the most pleasant day at Farm Fresh EVER!And it's in part thanks to your site.

I took a fellow poster's advice and tried out the FF at Orchard Place. I was going to the CVS anyway. I called ahead to see if they accepted WAGS RR. The lady on the phone was so helpful. She checked for me and the answer was yes. Hooray!

I did two transactions, after asking and getting the ok from a very pleasant cashier. No one else in line.
    #1 = $25.38-12.00 Qs = 13.38 + $10.00 catalina

    #2 = 20.13-7.00 Qs-$10.00 cat =3.13

so total $45.51 in groceries for $6.36!

I am thrilled. And the best part, everything rang correctly (except the Wesson oil, mine rang at $2 too but I had enough to cover apparantly), got my bag discounts and the service was super pleasant. I am hooked.

Thanks so much to the fellow poster who suggested this FF last week. I am definitely going back and am going to send a compliment to the manager.

    That's great!
I'm so happy you were able to get advice from a fellow poster on my site! It just makes my day, really!

You definitely made out today! It always helps to make compliments plus they tend to remember you.

Thanks for letting me know about your trip!

    Any problems posting the comment?

I did three transactions today! Got most of my weekly groceries and did the ConAgra deal once and the Kraft/P&G deal twice!! Total of all orders before coupons was around $140, after coupons all I paid was a little over $50 and I still have one $10 onyo! I'd love to roll it into the frozen foods deal when they have a better sale on the items I want 🙂

Thank you! Love seeing your results as well!!

    That's fantastic!
Make sure to save the receipts with the PG items if you haven't submitted for the rebate already.

great job! I wasn't up for all the hassle of figuring out the ConAgra deal this week but it looks like you did a great job with it. I didn't really need any of it anyway… I spent $28 before coupons and $14 after so it was only 50% but I got milk & Jimmy Dean sausage so I was happy… and still within my budget.

Next week I'll be using most of my budget to get ready for St. Pat's day… can you possibly let us know where to get the cheapest corned beef next week, pretty please!

Hello love this site! I did the Conagra deal only $5 OYNO printed didn't realize until I left because I had so many other issues checking out cedar rd. they would not accept A Kraft manufacturer coupon w/Food Lion logo at the bottom, a free q was not taken off, a few didn't double I felt like I was treated as if I was trying to steal from them. It was awful as usual. I seem to get treated that way at the Portsmouth store as well. Don't really feel like FF is worth all the trouble & my time. I did send them an email after I called the store we'll see if I get a response. Glad everyone else had fun!

    Heather:
I think anything at 50% is still good. It's those extra items you need that really get you.

Yes, I will look for corned beef sales for you. I’ve never actually eaten corned beef. I had to call my step-mother and ask her why she never made it for us. She's Irish (born and raised).

Thanks! I'm glad you’re enjoying the site!

I'm sorry you are having such as hard time at Farm Fresh. There seems to be a lot of that going around. Although we are appreciative to have the opportunity to save money with double coupons it is very frustrating when things don't ring up/print correctly.

Another reader on a previous post suggested Orchard Place FF (see Ginger's comment at the top) and Mt Pleasant FF customer service is always great, but I do still have register errors. However, I know it's not always convenient to go to other stores.

I'd love to hear the response to your email.

I'm also going to put writing to FF on my to do list and ask for their input since this is such as big problem.

Dana, well I'm (Irish and) from Chicago so when it comes to St. Patrick's Day… 'nuff said. I just gotta have my corned beef. 😉

Just a note, I've never had a problem at the Indian Lakes Farm Fresh. The cashiers there are getting to know me. I also have had good service at the Military Highway FF in Norfolk. At Indian Lakes, one time I tried to do a catalina and it didn't print so they gave me cash. I've also had them literally give me my overage in cash. So if the other FFs are giving customers problems, come to one of those.

Oh yes, she told me corned beef and cabbage.

I'm writing down a list of good FF's to keep.
    Thanks!
