My Farm Fresh Shopping Trip (08/03)

Want to hear something funny?  I’ve been in a panic all week that I was going to go over my grocery budget.  We had $18 left in the grocery fund and I needed regular and organic milk, bread, fruit & sugar.  Not to mention the deals I wanted to get a Farm Fresh today.  I had spent a bit more than I planned during my monthly Trader Joe’s trip, so I was getting stressed.

Then it occurred to me that I didn’t go to the bank 2 weeks ago.  Oops!  The good news is, my 2 week grocery budget stretched for almost 4 weeks including a Trader Joe’s trip.  I went to the bank today and got the money out from last paycheck.  I purchased everything I needed and some junk we just wanted.  I’ll put the remaining money in the bank for my Savings Pledge (we get paid again this Friday).

Stretching the $18 until Friday would have saved me the cookie calories when I munch on those in a bit, though 🙂

**I’m told there will be a $1 off the new Signature Meals coupon on the Farm Fresh Facebook page this weekend.  These can be found at the deli counter.  I don’t know the dates the coupon will be valid just yet.  You can read my review here.

How did you do this week?
