Attention Virginians!! Hurricane Season is upon us and it’s time to start preparing by purchasing items needed for your Emergency kit and making your family emergency plan.

Virginia’s Hurricane Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday starts tomorrow, May 24 and runs through Saturday, May 31. You can purchase items such as batteries, food storage containers, generators, first aid kits, bottled water, radios and more between May 25 and 31 and pay no sales tax. Vey few states offer this so take advantage and be prepared should we have a storm come our way this year.

New for 2014! Gas-powered chainsaws that cost $350 or less and chainsaw accessories that cost $60 or less are tax free
