My Walgreens Trip (05/29)

It is an awesome week at Walgreen’s!  There are a bunch of freebies and moneymakers to take advantage of.  Unfortunatly, my store was sold out of a lot of products before I got there.  I was in the store by 10:30am on Sunday.  The Smart Rinse and Ritz Crackerfuls were already sold out!  I remember when I could shop on Monday or even Tuesday morning without a problem.

I was joking with the cashier about it and he said they were gone as soon as the store opened.  He thought it was Black Friday all over again 🙂

I only ended up only doing 1 transaction & I didn’t have any RR’s to roll
*Get the matchups here

2 Right Guard Body Wash = Free after coupon
3 Kids Aquafresh toothpaste = Free after stacked coupons
1 Ecotrin = Free after stacked coupons
1 Goody’s Powder = $1.50

Total Paid: $1.86
Total Saved: $22.67
Earned $1.50 RR

Did you get any good deals at the drugstores?

I was able to pick up a few good deals at Farm Fresh today.  I really wish I had my other SmartSource inserts from 05/22.  Guess I need to go see my mommy!

I was thrilled to get foil for $0.49 each.  I was on my last package.  I usually have at least 5, so I was feeling a little bit squeamish 🙂

I also paid $1 each for the kids yogurt packs.  The kids love them, but I was still pained to spend that much on yogurt.

Get your matchups here

2 Reynolds Foil $0.98
1 Heinz Ketchup $0.67 (only have 3 in the cabinet)
2 Hershey’s Syrup $2
2 Gatorade $1
2 Ore-Ida sweet potato fries $2

3 Stonyfield Yogurt $1.07
2 Sweet Baby Rays FREE

My Harris Teeter & Farm Fresh Trips (05/18)

I am so disappointed with my Harris Teeter trip.  First it was crazy in there!  Seriously!  The condiment aisle was insane.  You couldn’t move.  In my haste to escape, I grabbed the wrong size Mahatma rice.  The $1.59 and $2.65 must have been mixed up, and I didn’t take the time to check (like I should have).  I will be either exchanging or returning it later.  All the condiments on sale was sold out.  At 7:50am!  That has never happened to me before.

Lastly, I was anticipating a $2 CAT for the Wisk detergent (according to another matchups site) and no CAT.  Sad.

Anyways…

I was informed that the managers at the Hanbury location will be cracking down on DND5 coupons and multiple VIC card use.  Please remember that it is 1 VIC card per household, not 1 VIC card per person!

Get your updated regular price deals here and the sale ad here

2 Mahatma $2.30 (going back)
1 Lawry’s garlic salt $0.35
2 Lawry’s Seasoned salt FREE
1 Ocean Spray Blueberry $0.12
3 Welch’s jelly $2.55 (a staple in my house)
1 McCormick Lemon Pepper FREE
1 Wisk Detergent $1.47
2 Bagelfuls $2.40
1 Parkway Butter $0.09
4 Athenos Greek yogurt FREE
1 Halls cough drop FREE

Total Paid $9.84
Total Saved $46.15 (depressing)

On a good note, I got a ton of freebies at Farm Fresh this morning.  Everything was free except the Emerald to -go was $0.50 and the 2 Kraft Dressings were $0.50 each.

Total Paid $1.84
Total Saved $27.98 (much better)

I was in desperate need of fresh produce, so I was thrilled to see all the 99¢ deals at Farm Fresh this morning.  I know telling you all this will backfire on me since they will be gone tomorrow BUT look for $0.55/1 peelies on the Nature’s Own specialty bread.  On sale B1G1, so $0.79 each.  While not free or super cheap, this is as great deal for whole grain bread.

I really needed a bunch of non-coupon items this week, so my total is not impressive.

Get your Farm Fresh matchups here

Mushrooms $0.99
Celery $0.99
Lettuce $0.99
Carrots $0.99
Potatoes $1.99
2 Nature’s Own Bread- $0.55/1 peelie $1.58
4 Goldfish $1
6 Powerade $3
3 Freschetta Pizzas $9.98 (so much cheaper than delivery!)
1 Puppy Chow $2.39

Total Paid $24.62
Total Saved $23.69
About 50% so not too terrible

I also ran to Harris Teeter because they had organic milk on sale for $4.49.  I picked up organic and regular milk, coffee creamer, the same Nature’s Own bread deal as above and a block of cheddar

Total Paid $15.71
Total Saved $6.02
(cringe)

I also made a quick trip to Target this week

My Farm Fresh & CVS Shopping Trips (05/04)

by Dana Zeliff on May 4, 20112011-05-04
in CVS, Farm Fresh Weekly Ads, My Shopping Trip

My first thought for shopping at Farm Fresh this morning was to have a completely free trip.  It’s been awhile since I have done one of those.  You usually see my entire shopping for the week.  I decided to go a slightly different route this week.  You hear a lot about people saying they don’t use coupons because it’s all junk.  I decided to purchase a range of items and my goal was to spend under $1.   I have bottled water, bread, eggs, expensive Greek yogurt, and organic cereal.

This is all I need to purchase this week, by the way.

Ways to save:
– Sign up for free samples and coupons (I love Vocalpoint)
– Request coupons directly from the manufacture
– Wait for sales
– Use Catalina’s

Bread $1.50
Eggs $0.99
Wholly Salsa – free product coupon FREE
Uncle Ben’s Pouch – free product coupon FREE
Jell-o Temptations – free product coupon FREE
2 Envirokidz cereal $3.99 – $1/1 Q mailed to me $2.98
4 Yoplait Greek yogurt $1.60
2 Tostitos FREE
4 Nestle Candy $0.36
2 Propel multipacks $1
– $4 CAT
-$5 CAT

Total Paid $0.95 ($0.65 was tax)
Total Saved $36.36

I had to use ECB’s before they expired, so I ran up to CVS this morning.  They were out of the BIC razors, so I had to improvise.

2 Right Guard Body Wash
1 Nivea Body Wash
1 Eucerin lotion
2 Colgate toothpaste
1 Charmin
– $21.99 ECB’s

Total Paid $1.62
Total Saved $40.35
Earned $13.54 ECB’s

I must have changed a setting on my camera, my pictures look orange.

My Harris Teeter & Farm Fresh Trips (04/27)

by Dana Zeliff on April 27, 20112011-04-27
in Farm Fresh Weekly Ads, Harris Teeter Weekly Ad, My Shopping Trip

I need to finish cleaning my house, so this is going to be short.

I was going to do an almost free trip at Harris Teeter today, but decided to pick up ice cream for hubby.  I’m gonna ask him to reorganize my food closet, so I need to butter him up a bit first 🙂

They were all out of the Birds Eye veggies I wanted too.  So sad!

Everything was in the matchups except for $1.50/1 Lysol Wipes coupon that was available on fb awhile ago and I had an Uncle Ben’s store CAT coupon.

Total Paid $6.16
Total Saved $39.75

My main expenses were $1.29 for the ice cream and $3 for the taco kits

I did the P&G deal at Farm Fresh.  The promo was for after coupons.  Mine didn’t print, but they gave it to me anyways.

Everything is in the Farm Fresh matchups except I had a free product coupon for the salsa.  No coupon for the bread, melon and salad.

Total Paid $23.75
Total Saved $19.99
Earned $5 for next trip and 5 Redbox code
“Like” paying $13.75

Other than a stop by HT later for 2 more Salad Kits and birds eye (if restocked).  I’m done shopping
