I’m back from my whirlwind shopping experience!  I ran to Harris Teeter as soon as I dropped LuLu off at school.  Unfortunately, most of the freebies were with coupons that I had used previously, but I still had a good trip.  Sorry, the Ortega got left off the matchups!  This is a lot for a first trip, but I picked up trash bags, baggies, coffee and milk.  Additionally, a couple of the coupons I was planning to use at HT, I used at FF.

Thanks to Ann for the heads up to search for Hefty peelies!!

I was especially pleased with Farm Fresh today.  I got a TON of freebies!  I’m not sure what’s going on with the Nabisco Facebook coupons.  The Wheat Thins were there last night and now the Triscuit won’t load.  Hopefully you printed them from the HT list on Sunday!  If you have the coupons, the Wheat Thins Stix are also part of the Instant Savings promo!  Watch the Cinnamon and Chipolte variety.  They aren’t ringing up right and will need to be adjusted.

I’ll have happy kids later!  Does pairing the yogurt with the post treats make them any healthier?  We’ll pretend yes.

My Kroger Shopping Trip (03/17)

by Dana Zeliff on March 19, 20112011-03-19
in Kroger, My Shopping Trip

I know, I know.  If you read my Farm Fresh trip post, I said I was done shopping for the week.  I was until I saw Heather’s post & realized the Annie’s was part of the Mega Event.  I headed up to the store the next day!  I stocked up on Annie’s for my kids and a friends kids, Powerade for hubby at work, free pasta and more.  I gave a friend 10 of the Annie’s boxes, and she gave me back $6.

I spent 20¢ more on the Organic milk than I do at Harris Teeter, but I saved another trip to the store.  Don’t forget to check back Sunday or Monday for the Harris Teeter Super Doubles matchups!

These Kroger deals are available though today

1 onion bag = $1.99
1 strawberries = $1.88
1 organic milk = $5.49
2 Land o lakes creamer = $2.48
1 CapriSun = $1.49
22 Annie’s Mac and cheese = $11
13 Powerade = $6.50
6 Healthy Harvest pasta = FREE
6 Smart Taste pasta = FREE
– $0.20 for bags

Total Paid $31.24 – $6 back = $25.24
Total Saved $76.94

I know the total is rather high, but I’m happy when you factor in the number of drinks for  Derrick, the Annie’s, organic milk and produce.

Derrick stopped at Farm Fresh to use my Free Milk CAT, so we paid only tax
We also saved $0.13 per gallon of gas at the FF pump using the gas receipts

Did you do more shopping this week?

I was able to get lots of goodies at Farm Fresh today.  Not a big week for freebies, but lots of stuff I needed.  I spent more than normal, but still within budget.  I was also able to use 3 free product coupons I was sent for being an insider & got FREE cereal!

I also picked up powdered sugar to try my hand at working with fondant again.  I want practice before Monkeyboy’s birthday in June.

I’m done shopping for the week except a trip back up to FF for corned beef and cabbage.  I finished up the price comparison, so I’ll be buying my St. Patrick’s Day dinner ingredients at Farm Fresh.

My Shopping Trips (03/07)

by Dana Zeliff on March 7, 20112011-03-07
in CVS, Farm Fresh Weekly Ads, Harris Teeter Weekly Ad, My Shopping Trip

Disclosure: This post may contain an affiliate link.

At Harris Teeter I found reduced chicken and steak (looks like we’ll be having steak for dinner on Sunday).  I bought 2 Natures Path cereals on sale B1G1 (in 2 transactions) using (2) $1/1 coupons they sent me.  I paid $1 for each box which is my goal price for organic cereal.  I also used a free product coupon for the creamer and bought organic milk.

I just realized that I was charged full price for the Chicken, so I pulled the stickers off the package to get my refund.

The Natures Path is on sale through tomorrow, 03/08

Total Paid $18
Total Saved $10.08
My total should be around $16

I needed to use $4 ECB’s that were expiring, so I ran into CVS and bought a Schick Hydro razor.  The sale ad didn’t really thrill me this week.

Total Paid $3.23
Total Saved $7.20
Earned $5 ECB’s

Lastly, I popped into Walgreens to look for the free PediaCare.  I found infant fever reducer priced at $6.49.  I bought 2, used the $3/2 printable plus the $5 off in-ad coupon to get both FREE.  These will be great to go with a gift for my sister-in-law’s baby shower this weekend.  We were running low on TP, so I used my $3 RR to get the Cottonelle.

I need to find out if I can use the PediaCare Allergy with LuLu.  It is priced at $7.99 making it only $1.50 each.  This is a great price since LuLu takes allergy med. every night.

Total Paid $1.99
Total Saved $16.50

Sorry I didn’t get my shopping trips posted from last week.  The Farm Fresh ad is good through tomorrow.  I bought items for dinner & LuLu’s cake and used free product coupons for the Purina One Beyond and the Purex Complete.  They still had $1/1 peelies on the Mission chips, so I paid $0.79 for each bag!  I love chips & salsa!!

Total Paid $18.73
Total Saved $35.77

I also made a trip last Tuesday to HT to take advantage of the $2.77 milk special from last weeks sale. The tortillas were only $1.50, grapes $0.99 lb and strawberries were $2.50.  I also picked up Powerade and Jolly Ranchers for the drive to get Bella.

Total Paid $27.23
Total Saved $20.85

I spent more on 2 separate trips to Farm Fresh on Thursday to get items for LuLu’s cake.  Overall I’ve spent a TON of money, but that’s what happens when you make a cake from scratch and don’t have a clue what you’re doing!  Good news:  I’m just under budget for February!

I decided to pop into Farm Fresh to get strawberries & cheese.  Most of the deals this week weren’t items I needed or wanted.  It was a very exciting trip as you can see!   I only used 5 coupons including a store coupon.  Other than possibly milk later this week & grapes from HT.  I’m done shopping.

1 Cheese Nips $1.89
1 Richfood Block Cheese $2.19
2 Sargento Cheese $2
1 Mission Tortilla Chips $2.79 – $1/1 peelie = $0.79
1 1/2 gal milk $2.19 – $0.50 store peelie = $1.69

My Final Harris Teeter Super Double Trip & A Quick WAGS Stop

by Dana Zeliff on February 22, 20112011-02-22
in Harris Teeter Weekly Ad, My Shopping Trip

Disclosure: This post may contain an affiliate link.

I made my final trip to Harris Teeter today to grab a few more items using coupons that my aunt brought me and to use coupons that came in my P&G booklet. I also used my Facebook save $2.09 on Doritos and Pepsi Max coupon today.  I decided that if I was getting 1 bottle almost free with the coupon, then I might as well buy 5 bottles for the B2G3 promo.  The coupon ended up taking off $2 instead of $2.09, though.  Now I just have to hide them for LuLu’s birthday party.

Sadly they were out of Pillsbury Sweet Moments, so I didn’t use the new $1.10/1 coupon.  They were still out of Cinnamon Cheerios & Hefty Bags too.

I’ll be donating the Hamburger Helper to the Food Pantry & I’ll add the deodorant to my donation for Operation Troop Aid

LuLu also talked me into Campbell’s Princess soup today.  She didn’t even want it for lunch, she wanted the carrots!
