I’ve been all over the place shopping this week.  It was fun to hit up more than 1 or 2 stores again.  I didn’t make it to Rite Aid yet. I’m hoping if I hold off until Saturday they may restock some of the freebies.

My Farm Fresh trip is depressing!  I spent a TON of money PLUS didn’t get my $10 Catalina for the promo.  The only reason I bought the Chef Boyardee was the promo.  Can’t take them back because my kids will think I’m the best mommy ever.

I also purchased 2 Culinary Circle pizzas for a total of $10.  Rather expensive but they’re tasty and I thought I was getting $10 back.  Mad, mad, mad.  Anyways…

Get my Farm Fresh Coupon Matchups

Strawberry Jelly = $2.49 (needed it)
Strawberries = $2.49
Carrots = $1.49
2 Hunts ketchup = $2 (part of promo)
2 Culinary Circle Pizza = $10
6 Hunts diced tomatoes = $2
6 Rotel = $2
5 Chef Boyardee = $3
4 PeterPan Peanut butter = $2.76
1 Freschetta Pizza = $3
2 Renuzit Pearls = $1.38
2 Clorox wipes = $1.78
2 Ronzoni Garden Delights Pasta $1.69 – $1/1 from 01/23 SS = FREE
1 Activia Dessert $2 – $1/1 from 01/30 SS = FREE
2 Johnson’s Baby Bars $1.99 – $1/1 from 01/09 SS = FREE
1 lb Creta Farm Ham $6.05 – $1/1 from 01/09 SS = $4.05 (for dinner tonight)

Total Paid $39.99
Total Saved $35.38

I went to Walgreens yesterday.  If you have been reading awhile you’ll know I’m not good with on the spot changes to my plan.  I have to see it all written down, so I messed up my second transaction.  Wanna know why?  I didn’t factor in the $1 off coupon in transaction 2.  Seriously!

See my Walgreens coupon matchups

Total Paid $2.06
Total Saved $22..35
Still have $17 in RR’s (including $5 from last week)

I went to CVS on Sunday hoping to get the Dove body wash for $0.99.  I’m using my last 1 now, so $0.99 is a good price for me.  They were gone!  Already!  I had two store coupons to use, so I bought a couple things we needed.

See CVS coupon matchups

Transaction 1
Zantac
Stride Gum
CVS TP
Eucerin travel size
-$5/15 CVS coupon emailed to me

You’ll notice Norton Anti-Viruse Software in the picture too.  Paid $94.49 at Office Depot, will get back $70 after MIR.  $24.49 for the 3 computer protection.

Finally I went to Harris Teeter yesterday for the last day of the sale.  I used my $2.50 Taquitos coupons that were available several days ago plus found pork chops reduced to $3.61 and organic baby carrots for $2 each.  I also bought organic milk (not show).

Total Paid $33
Total Saved $ 39.59

After all my Internet issues this morning (working great now!), I finally made it to Farm Fresh.  I was super excited to see “Try Me Free” on the Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut Cereals.  I “made” $4 on those!

See my Farm Fresh matchups

Milk $3.63
Celery $0.99
Eggs $1.49
Miracle Whip $2.50 (needed it)
2 Pop Tarts $2

Total paid $16.18
Total Saved $30.15
Like spending $12.18 after MIR

I took the kids with me on Monday to Walgreens.  BAD idea.  I forgot how difficult it is to take both kids coupon shopping.  I ended up spending more OOP than I should have.  If I had read my chicken scratch correctly, my 3rd transaction would have been only tax.  However, I did find $4 off peelies on the Blink Tears-$4 moneymaker!

See my Walgreens matchups

Transaction 1
Blink Tears
-$4/1 peelie
Paid $3.99
Saved $8.80
Earn $8 RR

Transacti0n 2

– $0.30 candy WAGS in-ad coupon
Paid $4.29
Saved $9.10
Earned $8 RR
See my problem?  I thought I wrote I’d get a $4 RR in transaction 2, so I didn’t have a more expensive filler.  The kids were half out the door and a line was behind me, so I just paid OOP

Total Paid $11.95
Total Saved $46.52
Still have $19 RR

I bought several non-coupon items this week.  Good news is that other than a trip to Harris Teeter for organic milk and yogurt (my Farm Fresh only carries Blueberry Stonyfield yogurt), I’m done for the week.

I don’t have time for my usual breakdown, but everything is the same as the matchups except:

2 FREE Wrigley’s Dessert Gum
2 FREE New York Snacks coupon from yesterday (coupon gone)
Milk $3.63
Baked Tostitos $2.50
Sun Chips $2.50
Red Grapes $2.04
Eggs $0.88

Total Spend $23.07
Total Saved $30.58
only 58%

My Farm Fresh Shopping Trip (01/19)

I went to Farm Fresh this morning to get a few of the good deals.  There aren’t as many freebies as past weeks, but I left happy.  I purchased 12 boxes of pasta to donate to the Extreme Food Drive and I scored FREE Thomas’ Bagel Thin with my Bzz Agent coupons.  Don’t worry, there were plenty of pastas on the shelf when I left…

I may have scared my cashier when I found out the Bagel Thin were on sale for $2 each.  I didn’t notice it in the ad and it wasn’t marked on the shelf.  I have 1 $4 off coupon, so I bought one.  When my coupon only took off $2 I was practically dancing in the line!  I had (4) $1/1 coupons to share with friends as part of the campaign.  I knew I would be able to pick them up cheap, so I held onto the coupons to give away the bagels when I found a good deal.  Well, I got 5 FREE packs of bagel thins today.  Can you tell I’m excited? 🙂

*My store finally had the Savings Essentials coupon booklet-I haven’t opened it yet, though

See my Farm Fresh coupon matchups

1 Goldfish $1
1 Tortilla Chips $2
2 Arnold Breads $3.88
1 7-up $1
1 Cheese Block $2.19 (ugh)
Bananas $0.61
2 Green giant frozen veggies $1 – $0.50/1 printable FREE
3 Gatorade’s $2
2 Maxwell House Coffee $2.98
1 Zone Perfect bar FREE
4 Ronzoni Smart Taste FREE
4 Ronzoni Garden Delight FREE
4 Ronzoni Healthy FREE

Total Paid: $16.13
Total Saved: $30.00

My Walgreens Shopping Trip (01/18)

by Dana Zeliff on January 18, 20112011-01-18
in My Shopping Trip

I stopped at Walgreens for the Vicks deal yesterday.  We used a lot of my cold medicine reserves over the past few weeks.   I was pleasantly surprised to find the Vicks Sinex included in the sale this week.  If you have 4 Sinex coupons, you could turn this into a $6 moneymaker!

See my Walgreens coupon matchups

2 Vicks Sinex
1 Vicks Dayquil
1 Vicks Nyquil
– (2) $4/1 Sinex coupons
– (1) $3 off wyb dayquil & nyquil

Total Paid: $9
Total Saved $18.96
Earned $10 RR, $1 “moneymaker”

I also popped into Harris Teeter to get my e-VIC capri Sun for $1.77.  Plus wyb capri sun you get FREE HT crackers.  I also bought organic milk, eggs, creamer, bread & pretzels for $21.02

I then attempted to get my Free Dole salad from Food Lion.  Well, the Food Lion at Centerville & Mt. Pleasant doesn’t carry the Dole.  I’m told a store in Norfolk carries it, but I won’t be driving to Norfolk for a bag of salad.  Good thing I have unlimited texting!
