Harris Teeter
(not sure why it’s so dark)
I didn’t pick up too much for Harris Teeter Super Doubles.  I’m having printer issues, so I didn’t have all the coupons I wanted.  I did grab the 32 oz Dannon yogurt for $0.89.  My kids are big fruit eaters anyways, but they loving dipping in the vanilla yogurt.  They will eat so much fruit with the yogurt that it’s borderline unhealthy!

I wanted to do the butterball deal today.  It made for a cheap turkey after the coupon and MIR coupon rebate.  I had to get my purchase amount up to $25 before the turkey, so I used a lot of free product coupons.
*I just received a comment that the turkeys have to be purchase after 11/14 for the rebate!  Sorry!  Well, after my $1/1 coupon I paid $5.72 for a 12.96 lb turkey.  Not bad, but not as cheap as I thought.

I was really excited about the almost free cans of veggies this week.  That is until I realized I had already used all but 1 of the coupons.  Oh well, such is life.
Can you believe $0.49 a bag for chocolate chips?  Baking season is right around the corner, so I picked up 4 bags for the sale price of 1!

I was sad when I went into CVS again and didn’t get the coupons everyone has been reporting.  I didn’t get the baby wipes coupon nor the $1/2 candy coupon.   I almost left without the candy but I really like Reeses.  No, the bag’s not open, really 🙂

Total Saved $9.40
Earned $3.50 RR
If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been very unorganized lately and feeling kind of blah about couponing. I think I’m ready to get back into the swing of things, though. My cabinets are showing the signs of misuse.  I’m planning to restock my freezer, so I splurged on containers.    I also bought a few items for freezer cooking and a few other things like 4 Arnold Wheat Breads priced at $1.50 each. I also bought 4 Mission Tortillas prices at $2.33 each.  It’s a little higher than I like, but I prefer Mission tortillas and I wanted the big burrito size.  I also grabbed coffee creamer, zucchini and a few other things.
I spent $19.49 on the containers above
I spent $30.86 on food for freezer cooking and miscellaneous food items

I was able to get the $10 CAT for the GM Promo and all my DND5 coupons doubled.  Still waiting to see what Farm Fresh will decide on the DND policy.  I also got a $3 CAT for purchasing 4 frosting’s.  Unfortunately, I was paying close attention to the screen for my other coupons and looked away for the last 2 Gain coupons.  They didn’t double.  Errr!  Should have watched more closely.
I’ll probably go back to “roll” my CAT then use it on items for my freezer cooking that will be happening soon.

My Farm Fresh and Walgreen’s Shopping Trips (10/06)

by Dana Zeliff on October 6, 20102010-10-06

I don’t have an exciting trip to share this week.  However, I was excited about the sale on Folger’s this week.  I thought I would end up with store brand today.  I also needed sugar and zucchini for dinner tonight. I went today on the assumption that my DND coupons would be adjusted down.  The coupons weren’t checked and all doubled automatically except for 1.  I’ll let you know more as FF determines what they are going to do about the DND coupon policy.

I didn’t do the deal on the back page of the ad this week.  It states that the CAT is after coupons, but I know shoppers had the CAT print on the deal last week after spending less than $25 after coupons.  Ann, let me know if it worked for you 🙂  My only thought is to make sure the CAT machine is on, has paper and you watch your products.  If there is an error and it doesn’t print, customer service can use the extra wording in the ad to refuse to print your CAT.

Lastly, I have to report that my favorite manager John from the Mt. Pleasant store has been transferred to Ghent.  Sad, sad day!

My Farm Fresh Shopping Trip (09/29)

Sorry, no picture today.

My trip isn’t that impressive this week.  I found a $0.75/1 Nature Valley Granola Bar coupon for the GM Promo that I think came attached to the newspaper.  I also picked up the Fall into Good Things Coupon Booklet (Thanks, Ann!) for the $1/3 Kraft mac and cheese coupon.  Use it at Harris Teeter where you’ll only pay $0.50 for 3 boxes!  I’m out and won’t get to HT until Friday, so I just used it at FF.  Convenience won out on this one.  Shocking to spend that much, I know!

2 Nature Valley Granola Bar $0.25 and $0.75
2 Nature Valley Nut Clusters FREE
3 Kraft Mac and Cheese $2.17 (WAY more than I ever pay!)
2 Kraft Homestyle Mac and Cheese $1
2 Crystal Light (coupon no longer available) $0.78
5 Del Monte Tomatoes $2.40
6 Campbell’s Soup at Hand $2
1 Success Rice FREE
2 Resolve FREE
1 Idahoan Potatoes FREE
