Farm Fresh
I was able to pick up lots of great deals at Farm Fresh today!  However, I did drop 1 of my Ken’s Salad Dressing Coupons, so that made me pretty sad.  One of my $1 coupons didn’t double either.  I asked the cashier and he told he that he’d fixed it.  Bummer.
*Don’t forget you can freeze yogurt!

I decided to post about my Sam’s Club trip this week.  I was fortunate enough to be provided with a $25 Sam’s Club gift card courtesy of Sam’s Club and General Mills through My Blog Spark.  My plan was to only spend the $25, but I decided to pick up another package of pork tenderloin (will provide 4 meals).  I also needed more oats and chocolate chips to make granola bars.  I wanted to purchase General Mills products for the Box Tops Promotion, but I just bought 14 boxes of bars at Farm Fresh this week.  This is what I did:

2 lbs Yeast $4.38
4 lb Salt $0.98
72 oz Chocolate Chips $8.76 (splurge)
25 lbs Bread Flour $6.59 (I spent $2.99 on 5 lbs at Kroger, $8.36 savings!!)
Organic Spring Mix $3.98
2 Milks $2.58 (not shown)
9 lbs Quaker Oats $6.98
Pork Tenderloin $16.14

Total: $54.29
   less $25 GC
Total Paid OOP $29.29

I first have to tell you that I ran out of the house without my coupon binder!  There it was, sitting right by the door!  I had the coupons I was planning to use in my purse but no extras.  The chex mix bars at my store weren’t the same size, so they didn’t qualify for the GM promotion (I miss read Julie’s comment as I was running around-big opps!) I was given the $5 in cash, but the price was $2.99 each instead of $2.  I overspent by $2.97.  Then, I get home and 1 of the boxes wasn’t in my bag.  Ahh!

My Crazy Expensive Farm Fresh Trip 08/04

by Dana Zeliff on August 4, 20102010-08-04
in Farm Fresh Weekly Ads, My Shopping Trip

I spent A LOT of money in Farm Fresh today.  I saved a decent amount, but my total was much higher than I’m used to.  There was a ton of markdowns at the front of the Mt. Pleasant store.  Baby items and vitamins seemed to be the bulk of the deals.  I couldn’t resist the Java Delight Creme Brulee Coffee for $2.45, no coupon.  Derrick will be happy, so that’s what counts!

See my matchups HERE

Milk
Melon $1.50
Chips $2.50
Perdue Roaster Chicken $5.56
Java Delight Coffee $2.45 (markdown)
Pinto Beans for Freezer cooking day $4.94 (yikes!)
Creta Farm Deli Ham $0.33
Dentyne Gum FREE
2 Pepperidge Farm Cookies $0.49 and $0.79
4 Snack Pack $0.38 each
Smuckers and Jiff $2.50 for both
All Detergent $1.99
Snuggle fabric Softener FREE
2 Activia Dessert Yogurt FREE
6 Yoplait Cups $0.37 each

Total Paid: $31.50
Total Saved $21.71

Only 42% savings-even when I spend a lot I like my total saved to be higher than my total spent.  Sadly, not today!

*~*Ann just let me know about a *HOT* $1/1 Pepperidge Farm Cookie coupon making your cookies FREE today!  Where were you an hour ago Ann? 🙂

How did you do?
