I was surprised at the lack of Farm Fresh and Harris Teeter shoppers this morning. Maybe everyone is still recovering from Spring Break.
My first trip was to Farm Fresh. Everything should be on list 1 and list 2 matchups except for the Jose Ole and Tide Detergent. I had an old $2/1 Jose Ole printable making each box just $0.99 and a $2/1 Tide mailer coupon giving me $1.99 detergent. Also, I have the Wholly Guac on my matchups, but I got the salsa free after the same coupon. We just prefer salsa.

My next trip was to Harris Teeter where I only used a few coupons. Again, all the matchups are on list 1 or list 2. I’m loving all the coffee sales recently! FREE butter and Neutrogena.

How was your shopping trips?
I skipped both HT & FF today. There just wasn’t anything that interested me. I did however make a trip to Food Lion for the $0.50 eggs & bread, $1.50 strawberries. I picked up some other good deals on marked down meats, so it was a good shopping trip. I noticed a few good unadvertised deals. It seems like that is one of the changes too. I don’t remeber seeing any unadvertised sales before. This could mean trouble for me, but that’s what the stores want – to get you in the door and then you spend more than expected, it’s all good though!
Food Lion must be revamping something. I noticed a lot of great unadvertised deals last time I went. Even their regular prices were lower (milk was under 3.00). They might start getting more of my business if they keep it up.
I did well at both FF and HT. I, too, was surprised at the total lack of couponers and yet….and yet, all the free men’s body wash was out. AGAIN. I have never been able to score any during these mega coupon events so either the store is yanking them from shelves or someone is coming in at 7am and buying it all (laugh) Nah, it’s all good….I was able to get everything else so I’ll forgive whoever is walking around smelling like nivea men’s.
I was thinking HT felt bare too. I haven’t been going on the 1st days of “major event” like this, because it is always so crazy. Happy I went. I saved about $40 in coupons at HT. Free gum, pantiliners, cheap yogurt, bathroom cleaner, coffee & popsicles and then some staples and recipe ingredients! I hope to shop FF tomorrow.
The Mt Pleasant store did not get any of the Mens Nivea for this event because they were not told doubles were coming until too late. The truck will be in on sat. so save your Q’s (Cashier told me this) My bill was 110.00 and I paid 41.00 so I thought I did real good!
cool thanks rachel. good to know. please know I was being light hearted up there. the day missing out on men’s body wash breaks me is a day I become worried this has gone over into an obsession ;p but it’s good to know about when they will be restocked.
I went FF today and got a few things but overall I’ve been disappointed with the deals lately… o well.
